Shouldn’t be head coach then especially when he was doing a live play during the pandemic in June.
Coach Ellis’ leadership experience extends beyond the gridiron, serving as founder and CEO of Play Now Enterprise, a multi-media production company responsible for the film Carter High, and impactful plays such as Juneteenth and Watchnight.

Now that's leadership!

Whats the team nickname? The Whiners?

Although he was a whiner. I do remember a quote from his coach at NC, after the draft regarding Ellis. When asked what kind of man he is the coach said "If I died tomorrow, I would want Greg Ellis to raise my kids.." Thats a pretty powerful statement.

What impressed me the most about Greg Ellis was when Parcells informed him that he would be converted to a 3-4 RLB after spending 8 seasons after as a 4-3 LDE. He didn't like it at all but it never diminished his effort, his work ethic.

Even at his age, Ellis worked to improve his performance at that position. In 2007. at the age of 32, Ellis received his only Pro Bowl recognition when he had 12.5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles. The Cowboys other OLB, DeMarcus Ware, was also selected to the Pro Bowl as well as 1st team All Pro with 14 sacks and 4 forced fumbles. He was also a converted DE from his college years.

Greg Ellis was a very good player who would have received far more recognition had the Cowboys been more successful in the playoffs. He played in only 3 postseason games during a 12 year career, all as the starter.

Greg Ellis was a class act all the way.

Yes! We called him the babysitter.

Remember we had just dealt with some serious behavioral issues with certain key guys, and I think this was a big reason why Jerry passed on Moss for him.

Getting Flozell in the 2nd was really what made all not so awful.

Ellis was a good, not great player.

I put him in my "just good enough to lose with" category.
