I honestly believe they are more worried about the reactions of the Karens of the world then anything else. The loud minority is destroying this country. I can't wait for the silent majority to get the hell off their ***.

Players now are spoiled by the adoration of the fans and the coddling they get by the owners like Jerry. It's a bit sickening.

Likely no regular season games either...
Baseball is already started, Nascar is racing, Basketball is going to play, Hockey is going to play, I highly doubt that the NFL wants to be the one hold out of the whole sporting world. The NFL will play.

With a mortality rate of .001 for their age group, its criminal to expect these guys to play.....Oh, the humanity

.........meanwhile the rest of us, regardless of health or age group have been working all through this......

LOL Yeah but the prima-donnas......
It's OK to party, but when it comes to work, well lets stay home and get paid anyway.

very few, and that is why so many tested positive and they were spreading it around unknowingly.
I think this is the case with the public too, some people may be positive and dont know it because no one is getting tested.

I wouldn't say it's no one but it's sure too few and many aren't giving up their old ways to have a good time. It's just ruining the country.

The U.S.A. is bad about that -- use of self discipline is gradually becoming a thing of the past. Far too many do whatever they please!!

I've read the precautions both the NFL and the NFLPA have agreed on. As far as the players are concerned, I think they will be safe. No fans, but that is to be expected from the incompetent handling of the virus.
and what incompetent handling of the virus would that be?

Those who choose to sit will not be paid, that is their choice. By and large I think vast majority will play including Lawrence. I have always noticed players will make big statements yet seldom back it up when their money is on the line. DLaw has 21 mill sitting on the table, he will play.

We won’t know if it was a mishandling or not. I am hoping that we can have some fans. Gonna look funny with nobody in the stands. We could do the cardboard cut outs..

I find this completely idiotic but I've found the last 4 months the same so...

Preseason has a purpose. An important one. Players need to be developed and evaluated. Teams need to be prepared.

No. It doesn't. College football does not do preseason. They have practices and a spring game against each other. And they do just fine. Preseason in any sport is nothing but a money grab by the owners to get even more revenue. Season ticket holders are forced to buy these tickets. I don't even think high school football has a preseason. They might have one scrimmage if that.

How much evaluation is really done in the preseason? Every defensive coord calls the most generic, vanilla defenses they can. Offenses are hardly running anything that will give anything away for the regular season. It is nothing but a scrimmage. Every team has scrimmages during training camp against another team. It is the same concept.

I would love this to be a permanent thing. Preseason in any sport is the most pointless thing you can have.

You know what? I'm starting to move my opinion more towards this line of thinking. Maybe at some point decades ago it was used more to evaluate players, but I don't see it anymore. It is a scrimmage.

Well my point had to do with players saying they didn't want to report to training camp because it wasn't safe. DLaw said he didn't want to take the virus home to his family so he might not report to TC.
Thus my question, how many guys are using that as an excuse, yet they attend parties and various other activities without any worries.
Just a thought.
Really no place is "safe" unless your in a bunker by yourself. they could be exposed by a family member sitting at home.

How much money does an American soldier get paid for fighting in a war zone?

Perhaps our soldiers and our football players should switch paychecks.

This is comical to watch, oh yea start with the preseason games that’ll really help. Cancel camp too. How long was the meeting to come up with that, haha. What’s next, not game 1 please don’t move game 1 back a week. Hey let’s try for only playoffs. Oh no it’s November and we’ve been stringing the fans along since June. You mean we can’t work just like everyone else, huh who would have thought.
