The important thing is what Jerry wanted which was a HC who was All In on Dak and agreed to retain Moore.

It's funny how we win, it was all Prescott. We lose, it's everyone but Prescott.

You trolls are funny. Wanted us to throw away our future for one man, so y'all could laugh at Jerry.

Jokes on you all. They didn't bite, now he sits on a 1 year deal, looking at the door about to hit him on his way out after he regrets not taking a deal only the cowboys will pay.

#DontpayDak

So now not only have you had long private discussions with Jones to know for sure what he will do after this season that now you must have had long conversations with the other 31 GM's to know what they will offer Prescott IF Jones doesn't sign him to a long term deal or tag him again. Just how did you get on talking terms with all 32 GM's in the league? There are actual insiders who have burnt some bridges that can't even claim that, but not you. It is you who is the troll. Look up what a troll is. Trolls aren't the ones that support a player, trolls are the ones that hate a player like you.

Another thread about how Dak (allegedly) thinks/feels without anything actually from Dak.

Keep chewing on that clickbait, boys.

Yup. Eat it up today and then turn around and claim the media is biased and can't be trusted when they write an unflattering piece on the Cowboys after going to look for such in the first place. The media wins. Always.

Seems to work the other way as well, Dallas wins it had nothing to do with Dak yet we lose and it is because Dak is not a good QB.

Dak should honestly be grateful that Garrett was fired in he tenure. Romo's entire career was wasted under this idiot. The jonses are trying to ensure the same thing doesn't happen with him.

If you have a great working relationship with your immediate supervisor, then that supervisor gets fired, you are not going to like it. That's human nature. Most people do not like change and that particular kind of change can bring an uncertain future. If they can split with that supervisor then what's stopping them from splitting with me. That is what would be on most people's minds if something similar happens. So this is actually a non-starter to me. There's nothing to see here. No story. Just human nature.
Hmmmm..

What is still sitting in the corner of the room is..

If Dak was more comfortable with Garrett..

we have a problem.

Moore is still here calling plays.

If we were poor calling Red Zone plays..who did that?

Moore.

I do not like retaining him and McCarthy promised to call the plays when he arrived.

Then he reversed himself and made Moore the OC again.

This is the one thing I believe Big Mike choked on.

If things get complicated which they now have..Moore gets the blame.

Big Mike needs to take charge especially if we have to come out of the gate with no practice games, etc.

Time to rethink things.

Let's make it a package deal then, Dakota.

You AND Garrett can get the hell out of town!

Just remember the carousel of terrible QBs when Aikman got hurt and ultimatley retired. Clint Stoerner....Anthony Wright....ect

Look just stop. End of the day he didn't get the extension, ok? He's done here! You all danced around, told us to leave come July, that he would be extended, that we don't know football if you don't think he would be extended, blah blah blah. Cut the act, it's old.

It's obvious the jones, called MM for a meeting for his opinion. He probably was like

"look I know when I first came on board I said I was down with Prescott, he's a great QB, but that's because I thought you all were deeply in love with him, but since it's about to get nasty and obviously you guys are a little hesitant, I'll be honest. He's a good QB, but not elite, I've seen elite and great QBs. DO NOT cripple this team for one man's demands, especially if he's just a good player. We can make it work with someone else if need be"

So they are renting him for the year, that's the only reason they haven't rescinded the offer.

With all that said, facts are facts. He wasn't extended. You all got so giddy thinking he would be, now look. Just shut up and stop pretending to know what you think is real. Obviously all of you Dak fans, you and you're opinion/prediction was wrong. He's not as wanted as you believed. Or Jerry would have caved

No way this is actually true. Dak isn't dumb enough to not have realized Garrett's scheme was killing any and all chances for the team to be successful. Dak had to realize at some point Garrett was never going to be able to lead the team to a title. He may have liked working with Kitna but with a new Head Coach that is a QB guy himself, he is going to want his own guy in there working with his QBs. I would say if any of the players are feeling anything about Garrett being fired, it's total relief and jubilation.

Hey, I didn't see any fans on here saying "we won in spite of dak"

I see Dak fans Everytime we win make hundreds or threads saying "Yeah, and who said Dak wasn't Elite? Look at these numbers"

Ya make all the excuses when Aikman and the Cowboys won 3 Super Bowls and in one of those years 10 of the starting 11 on offense were voted to the Pro Bowl including that offensive line you talked about. And why is it that other QB's in the same era playing against the same kind of defenses had higher completion percentages. It's not like Aikman wasn't that accurate it's that Prescott has a higher completion percentage as Aikman.
.
.
First, during the SB years the OL was arguably the best ever, but Aikman wasn't only there when the OL was great, which is why I asked if those stats were for his whole career.
Second, Dak has had great receivers and an OL that's been one of the best the whole time he's been here.
Third, the rules are much more offense friendly now than they were then.

I'm not say Dak is inaccurate, I'm just saying it's silly to downplay Troy's accuracy. When he was playing, he was commonly referred to as one of, if not the most accurate QBs in the game.

per former Cowboys coach, also Garrett not involved in Red zone play calling according to former coach

https://1053thefan.radio.com/articl...coach-thinks-dak-prescott-wants-out-of-dallas

As much as Bryan broadus hated garrett he is having to report acurate info he is hearing from people who know even though tons on here will still dissregard it. Doesn't mean it wasn't time to let Garrett go. He still didn't hold or have the ability to hold his horrible coaches accountable and that needed to change. Atleast MM appears to be in control of who his assistants are to a much bigger degree than Garrett.

He was offered an extension, that in itself proves they want him.

You dreamed up this whole MM/JJ conversation in your head, then turn around and say he's not wanted because of that same made up conversation... make it make sense.

Then you don't pay attention we have a whole slew of Dak critics who will not give him credit for anything. For me I blame the team for loses and wins, I have never pointed the finger at 1 player since in my view Football is the ultimate team sports. We lose Dak shares in it and if we win Dak shares in it. In terms of elite? Dak is not elite then again very few are, in my view you can have an elite season but does not make you elite. In my opinion elite is a player who year in and year out plays at a very high level. That separates good from elite in every sport.

What I see here is a good portion who would cut off their nose to spite their face before they would credit Dak for anything and there is a good portion who claim Dak as elite and does no wrong.

Are you serious?
He didn't beat out anybody. Both Romo and Moore got hurt and Dak was gifted the job after they returned.
There was never a competition.
If Dak played poorly his spot would've been taken. He won and played well in those games. It was a competition it just wasn't announced. Dak took his spot there's no shame in that.

Many of us, myself included, oftentimes put too much stock in these media attempts to get clicks. This team is putting itself in great position to excel in the upcoming season and beyond. Let's appreciate that and look to a better future! ;)
There are far too many things that appear to bode well for success than to justify pessimism!
