Yeah you'd like to believe that.

Let's see who has the better season

#DontpayDak

Then you will have to factor in a crap load of variables including COVID-19 team casualties to make the comparison fair for either Brady or Prescott.

In other words you are willing to extrapolate and quantify the data from a parallel universe where the exact same team, same players, same coaches, same opponents, same executive management, same country, and same environmental conditions where in existence and happening. Yikes, they might end up having the exact same results.

Never mind my stupid suggestion. Keep on dancing!

You want to take up a big chunk of the salary cap? You better win something.

Let's say he does win it, how the hell are the Cowboys going to pay him? With the amount of money he'd expect, he'd have to agree to a Mahomes type contract. As far as I know, he wants 4 years.

D Ware never won a superbowl with Dallas and he got paid on his second contract. Pretty sure he got 26 mil in one year in 08 or 09.

These x players and commentators just need to hush with the stupidity.

I would disagree. I wouldnt say THE ONLY. It sure does help that process though. Its the pinnacle of NFL FOOTBALL. Why wouldn't a SB win be validation? lol
Because it might validate a QB is better than he is when it’s actually a great team that’s carrying him.

Dak has been argued by many to be a Bus Driver Of sorts who needs an Elite supporting cast. Why would we expect him to carry us to a Super Bowl?

We’re Eli and Flacco validated as Elite QB’s or were they simply looked upon as a better team carrying them and they made enough big plays?

The last offer was fair and he wanted to get it done. I blame both sides. His agent should have been calling but likely went hard and said this is the deal take it or he plays on the tag. SJ did the same with the offer. Neither side bent until Dak got on the phone. The FO knows and Dak knows that next year the price will go up a few million. He will make 31 this year and negotiations start at the end of the season. I think the FO goes in fast after the season to beat watson and jackson deals. Daks agent will stall.

Former All-Pro DE DeMarcus Ware joins Colin Cowherd to talk the Dallas Cowboys and their negotiations with Dak Prescott. Ware tells Colin what he thinks about Dak s franchise tag, and what he'll need in order to prove what he's worth to team owner Jerry Jones.

No he simply needs to takeover some big games ala a playoff game or to and be the reason we won ala Mahomes bringing his team back 3times last playoff race alone and leaving with a mvp and Lombardi..

however more simply,

if Dak somehow brings us back from some big games that launched us into a playoff run, showed up even bigger in a few playoff games that got us to an NFCCG that would have the FO running with the checkbook open..hes simpy one of the guys on this team , yes one of the stars on the team ,right now and hasn't done enough lately to sperate himself to a point where hes regarded as a special talent who can carry a team..its hard to want to be on his side contract wise with the way he played down the stretch last year..

its that simple I like Dak as our QB but not on a contract that big that will be up again in 4 years without really being 100% on whether hes special or not..

Show me the money will happen like in that movie when you become the player who deserves to be the top 3 paid PLAYER in the league.. thats the issue not just top paid QB , there are some special players all around the league that make half that pay and someday they will be in the HOF and Daks just not there YET..

im 75% convinced hes our future QB and can lad us to a shot at the ring but i need to be 95%+ convinced and apparently Jerry and Stephen feel the same way..

weall know all the issues arent Dak but when you are demanding that kind of money your warts are magnified..

If this team wins a SB, I dont care at all about the details.
The ring is everything at that point.

YES, Both were validated after they won.

Im willing to cross that bridge when we get to it, get that 6 ring and I dont care if Dalton is starting in 2021.
I’d like to see the Cowboys finally use our draft capital on a stud in the 1st round.

It's not like Dak will be living on food stamps and selling pencils from a tin cup. Also winning a Super Bowl takes playing well under pressure, I have not seen that with Dak in the biggest of moments.

He's not a one man show out there.

No, but he’s the featured performer. The Cowboys have a losing record over the years without good QB play. Mahomes just got paid close to a half $1 billion for 10 years off an MVP year and a Super Bowl win. Is that worth that kind of money? These QBs aren’t getting paid off of what they’ve done, they’re getting paid off of potential and what you hope they’ll do in the future.
