What are the expectations for the Dallas Cowboys 2020 rookie class? The Dallas Cowboys drafted for instant impact in 2020.

Will they get it?

It’s not always typical for teams to be drafting for need into day three of the NFL Draft, but the Cowboys worked the board perfectly and not only managed to find great value at every turn of the 2020 NFL Draft, but also find players who can fill immediate needs.

Good stuff about CeeDee in the OP. I've seen him in videos, planting his foot while making cuts and doing it so abruptly that defenders can't keep up. It's just an innate skill he has that makes it likely for him to gain so many yards after the catch. It's a treat watching him do that so instinctively. :)

LAMB- i could see Lamb being be used a lot like Niners Debo Samuels around the line, jet sweeps, flairs and slots ...and also moving him outside on the flank, - while we see Cooper or Gallup on the slot slants as well.

- i trust Kellen/MM route designs in getting Lamb on- the- move to best utilize his unique run skills as often as possible.
Keep in mind that Lamb also return punts, and be an exciting one in that sense as well once he's coached up by Fassel.

DIGGS - if Diggs really kills it in camp, whereas even the likes of Cooper, Gallup and Lamb cannot take best him, then it's obvious that he will start Day 1,..if he is stuck in mud and going thru the motions, i think we will see vets such as Worley and Chido before we eventually see Diggs brought into the rotation among No/1 and No.2 starting CBs ..and eventually shows enough to entrust him starting.

GALLIMORE - With the Woods situation, Neville is one to watch how the team plays him. He's really more a 3 tech than 1 tech, but if he has to fill in for Woods if Ant holds out or demands a trade out. then it's some early indications has him backup at 1 tech role instead of Woods.
Despite having terrific weight room strength and being a top athlete. the big knock on Gallimore is his run defense. That's already not a good sign for a rookie backup 1 tech run specialist.... But as a 3 tech pas rusher, i tend like every rave i heard about him at Senior Bowl time.

ROBINSON - along with QB DiNucci, probably the one draftee i dunno what his role and playing status will begin and end up this year.
i've heard talk from CB to Safety post draft. i dunno where his game rep and experience will come from. Will he be a combo DB such as Worley and Chido ? Or will team established him clearly at safety ? 4 INTs his last year in NCAA. and he's blocked a kick in each of his 4 years so special teams will definitely be a niche immediately. Actually deaf in his left ear.

BIADASZ - If his health and recovery are intact, i prefer him starting Day 1; i like his scouting profile, his game tape, his collegiate achievement awards and accolades, Biadasz is no project, but a highly regarded pivot prospect. i think he will be a natural, and will provide far more good plays vs bad, as he adjusts to NFL level. Maybe not as dominant as Fredrick but could he be on a level of Mark Stepnoski ?

ANAE - i like the comparisons to ex Steelers James Harris. short arms, not a top athlete and physically challenged the more wider and longer he has to be in pursuit. But in a confined area of a pass rush, i love his game tape and college production. Quick off the ball and his chop down arms are always moving like an Octopus. May be a nickel rush but who knows his potential. He could be another Harris type.

DiNUCCI - when i finally saw game tape, he looked impressive with his live arm, ability to scramble outside ,.. but then so was Mike White's college highlights also impressive too.
A raw QB really needs live game experience and heavy reps from start of OTA's and on, he won't get that this year, and it remains to be seen how the team will eventually choose to best keep his services to continue to develop him. Recommended to McCarthy and Cowboys did not want to chance him to undrafted rookie ranks, thus drafted with final pick in the 7th rd.

With the exception of Lamb, I don't have expectation of immediate impact from any of the rookies. That isn't to say I don't rate them, I do, more that Lamb is the only one that I think will be asked to play a sufficient number of snaps to really be a factor this season.

I do expect contributions from Biadasz and Gallimore, because of the lack of quality in front of them
