All I know is he was part of the defense that crapped the bed any time Sean Lee wasn't playing. Hasn't happened since. Is that because our entire defense has improved? I don't know. But I don't see that many studs out there after you remove Jaylon and LVE.

I agree, where I do see a difference is if a LB makes a mistake he has others around him to cover, he has safeties behind him who can cover him. QB makes a mistake, he throws a bad pass, gets intercepted or sack and fumbles it tends to be on him, no one to cover up his mistake. His play will not singlehandedly win but his mistake will cost you quicker than any position in football.

Hitch was and still is a good player. Really solid. But KC also had a really good DL playing ahead of him in the trenches which helps any LB.

I liked Hitchens he was very instinctive but had some physical limitations. Nowhere the speed that LVE and Jayson have but he understood the scheme and was the right fit.

Stats are not how players are judged on this sight......well I mean on certain days.....well sometimes its the time of day that determines what counts...I mean use the win loss record...wait that only counts in certain years......ok I'll admit i dont know how some of the people on this site judge players its kinda fluid.....

Players aren't judged by championships. QUARTERBACKS are judged by championships.

Get it right.

Hitchens had a good 2018, but was below average in 2019.

The best ability is availability and letting Hitchens and all the other ex-Cowboy Chiefs shows why I consistently say Jerry Dumbo GM Jones.

I will agree with this to a point.....you don't take chances with 2 players in back to back years that play the same position.....but honestly Jaylon's problem wasn't him being healthy last year, it was either coaching or he literally forgot how to play linebacker in an offseason...

He’s better than Smith. Hell, Smith is probably the 4-5th best in our team alone. Everyone forgets LVE was playing hurt before he went on the IR

Yes, and I would say that Hitch was the result of good drafting, but not high enough ceiling to get paid on the 2nd, we lost another one to Detroit that way,, what was his name..
A team that can field NTs the caliber of Chris Jones and have quality starters across the DL in Okafor, Nnadi, Clark, and Im not even touching their depth ..lol
Their depth would instantly be an upgrade over our beloved Crawford..lol
Just saying when you got body guards like that playing in front of you,,, guys like Hitchens can play their best game.

....LVE is better than the two. Hitch is similar to Jaylon, both don't have instincts following the puck. They need help to make plays happen. LVE has better nose for the puck. Lee had the best instincts.
