Say what you want but his peers are not impressed. I don't it's a popularity contest at all. Who better to judge him than his peers. His head coach is an offensive guru and his TEs ( dinking ) have damn near broken receiving records the last couple years.

Well, this kinda illustrates the problem you see with these types of polls IMO. Clearly, likable or not, Wentz is among the top 100 players in the NFL. If he is not included on this list, it only serves to lesson the list.

Might as well be watching a beauty pageant.......
I do not agree with this at all. I have never been impressed by Wentz.

He is a good, but not great quarterback who cannot stay on the field due to injuries.

I have been consistent in this opinion since he was drafted and it has nothing to do with the Eagles or Dak Prescott.

There are certain quarterbacks who get hyped because they get drafted high and fit a certain prototype height and arm-strength wise.

If it were not for Nick Foles winning the big games for the Eagles while Wentz was out, most people would have turned against him by now. Many people tend to forget that it was not Wentz who won that Super Bowl for them.

As it is, Foles provided that illusion of "if Wentz was healthy, he would have won too" and as a Cowboys fan, I hope the Eagles keep thinking that way for years to come.

I do tend to think Wentz is a good QB for his age and experience level. Durability being the biggest concern.

I will never understand the “he would have been MVP” or “Dak has always had the better supporting cast” crowd

When literally Wentz’ college team and his NFL team didn’t skip a beat without him.

But alas.

I think Dak and Wentz are pretty much a coin flip as to who is better.

Dak at 46 and Wentz unranked is silly.

Dak being higher than Martin, Amari and Tyron is silly as well.

I wonder if TN fans start threads about zeke for the same reason

Fair enough, I’ve never really cared about him but I guess I see why you and others like it. I do wonder if Eagles fans really care that much? I may have to go peruse their forums closer to game time, which I usually do with whoever we play, but keep an eye out for this topic specifically. Perhaps I should even stat an account and bring it up! lol, j/k but it would be funny, I’m sure there’s already Cowboys fans that have done it.

If one of our rivals added a comparable back at the bottom of the top 100, they definitely should give us crap about it. We overdrafted and overpaid a RB, for sure.

Eagles fans hate the Wentz-Dak debate. I know that from long personal experience. :)

No, they just drafted Taco Charlton and Connor Williams with those picks.

They may have been better off trading those away given the returns.

Dallas has drafted more Pro Bowlers recently than the rest of the Division combined. The #1 is a lot more likely to turn into CeeDee Lamb, LVE or Tyron Smith than an anomaly like Taco.

I'll bet on the ability of Dallas to draft over overpaying in a trade like the Eagles did, every time.

Well Reality, that's the beauty of this board. Not everybody agrees. However, the other side of that discussion is, if Wentz doesn't sustain injury, he's probably the League MVP that year and who can say if he would have lead Philly to a championship? I don't know the answers to that but it's certainly reasonable to conclude that he would have been MVP. The other point I would make is that while I certainly understand your argument here, there are plenty of player evaluations out there that also rank Wentz in the top 100.

I don't put much stock into lists, to be honest. Maybe it's because I'm on too many of them, I don't know. But I do believe that Wentz is in the top 100 players in the league. That's just my opinion.

Agree, those kind of QBs drafted high also tend to get a longer honeymoon with the fans because of their draft position.

Exactly right. I agree with this point of view pretty strongly.

Is there a Top 100 Disabled List?
:lmao2:
See Seen Lee and LVE for further
14 years playing football, Lee is allowed to decline. LVE having a health ailment, is allowed to be off.

The only thing Wentz is accounted for is robbing the Egals of $128,000,000 contract including a $16,367,683 signing bonus, $107,970,683 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $32,000,000.

Funny trivia, FB Robert Newhouse has better playoff passing stats than Carson Wentz.

Newhouse - 1 for 1, 29 yards

Wentz - 1 for 4, 3 yards

This is a completely BS, unfair comparison Kaiser. As proof of this, I submit the following.

This is a picture of Robert Newhouse, in the locker room, after he takes off his Uni.

Not a fair comparison at all...........

Lol, better watch it! Now you have me really interested, I may have to drop in on the Eagles MB’s sooner than later. Maybe I can start digging this Wentz/Prescott debate, haha.

I’ve never commented on it but I’ve never understood the hype with Wentz. I’ve always been under impressed when I’ve seen him play and thought he’s made several horrible throws in those games. On the other hand, those were somewhat of a small sampling and I’ve never looked at his stats or anything so maybe he’s not as bad as I think. He’s not horrible just meh, to slightly above average, IMO.

Carson Wentz bows before Robert Newhouse. Or else he is hurt, with Wentz its probably both.

Lol, I’m not even going to read what he’s referring to but I can only assume if I’m correct in my assumption I assure you it’s no act. I wear my emotions on my sleeve for better or worse and I have very strong and opinionated feelings about certain subjects and/or people which should surprise no one.

Lol, an “act”. Good stuff.

Depends on the season he had before. He would have easily made it after the 2014 season, for example. After other seasons he may have made it, sometimes somewhere in the second half of the list, and after others still may not have made the list at all.
Ugh...please buddy, you know I was joking, don’t get them started. I may regret ever saying that even though it was in jest.

This list is likely part popularity contest. For example, Jaylon Smith made the list and there is no way he was a Top 100 player last year. But from what I have read, he's pretty well liked by players, including those around the league. Not hard to see given his bubbly personality. We have all heard the whispers that were linked here about some Eagles players not being a fan of Wentz. So if he is rubbing some teammates wrong, he probably is rubbing players around the league the wrong way too (or Eagles players are telling their buddies around the league about Wentz).
Jaylon will always get respect from players because he made it back from a catastrophic injury. He is better then fans give him credit for. I will never understand the hate on this board.

I think it has to do with Wentz being drafted #2 overall in the same draft we took Prescott with a 4th round comp pick.

We like to compare the two qbs to show how much value we got while the Eagles traded up to get him.
Yeah...Idgit explained it to me. I mean I’ve always understood it but didn’t realize how much Eagles fans care which makes it all the more worth it.

That's true, with a fairly high probability I'd guess. But then again, that kinda applies to the entire world, not native to Krypton........
