If neither player makes an impact, they are both gone at the end of the season and will probably be taking 1 year prove it deals in the offseason.

They need to step up otherwise our secondary is in trouble.

Just need to see how the season plays out. How much does Diggs contribute also. Then see how Robinson looks too.
Just way too early to tell.
I thought Lewis could be trade possibility, or heck even Awuzie. But now that Canady opted out, they stay for depth.

Yeah if I have to predict.....I don't see any scenario for them to be brought back. MAYBE if Chido is a free safety. But personally I think both play GREAT this year if trey get the chance to and both play themselves into some nice contracts.

I think we're in that tough position to where is the compensation worth trading either one for? I don't think it would be. Would either one of them net us a 3rd or 4th or 5th rounder?

I want to keep them both.....which means they are both gone.

How about we trade them both to Seattle for some safety they have now....sounds equal to me

Who knows, depends on want the other team is willing to pay. If a top CB goes down with an injury. I say no to anything lower than a 3rd or 4th.
Eagles CB, Goodwin? just opted out, they were counting on him this year. So would they give a 3rd?

Of course it’s not just either they have a big impact and they stay or they have little to no impact and they are gone. Most players in the NFL fall somewhere in the middle, so it may just come down to whether they did as well or better than whatever options might be available.

So let me get this straight. A lot of people were happy we let one of the best corners in the league walk, saying he wasn’t worth it and now these guys aren’t worth keeping and we let our sack leader walk. So who exactly is going to stop the other team from destroying us through the air?

I have significant cause to think both of them will, indeed, prove themselves worthy of continuing to serve the Dallas secondary admirably. The previous defensive regime surely hadn't been one that made the most of their defensive talents. Hopefully, what's in place now will prove that to be a valid test of that. Let's see what they have to offer in regards to that proposition. There's really not much to lose in doing so, from the looks of things. ;)

Yeah I doubt it. I think at this stage of the season while I think highly of Lewis and Chido I don't think other teams do.

If they can keep Awuzie that would be fine. But I really believe it depends on how these rookies play this year.

The one fa DB I expect to be brought back isn't either one of the two mentioned, but rather Xavier Woods.

It's possible. But if he doesn't up his game, he'll be taking a team friendly contract. Hasn't accomplished much since he's been here. No doubt he's been decent value for a 6th round pick, but we need an upgrade.

I'm not disputing that we need an upgrade, but know the front office is extremely high on the player.

Isn't that true of every player entering a contract season each year?

But if they DO make an impact, someone else will offer them more than we can pay, or would be willing to.

They dont fit the profile of what the team seems to be looking for at CB.

This leaves us at somewhere around zero as far as the chances of either returning.

I hope they are both great. Keep those comp picks coming.

Ha. Kind of like day to day. Arent we all?

Accelerated money against the cap may make that a bit untrue in this sport, but point taken lol.

I dont think either one will get a big contract anywhere, regardless of how they look this year.
