No. Plants have proteins But the particular amino acids best for building muscle are all animal origin. Most of these body building powders are made from by products of the dairy industry. A new market for what used to be a low value, unused by product.

Every amino acid including the “essential amino acids” can all be found in plants. Animals do not have the ability to produce 10 essential AA’s so they have to get them from plants or animals that have eaten those plants. In reality it’s more efficient to eat the pants containing the AA’s than the animals.
Nuts, beans and legumes can actually have higher protein content than meat and they include the AA’s needed for muscle mass. Meat also has been found to thicken the blood after consumption which reduces the oxygen carrying efficiency.

Interesting documentary on Netflix called Game Changers that discusses elite athletes who went vegetarian and saw immediate benefits. Patrick Baboumian a world strongman competitor is one of the profiled athletes.

Untrue. It is a hell of a lot of work to maintain a vegan diet that provides adequate protein for regular folks. Your statement would likely be true for normal folks.

However, Cam can afford a full time cook and a nutritionist.

Meat and dairy are easy sources of protein but they aren't essential.
It was true and I provided examples. Might want to rethink.

If it is untrue as you claim, then provide examples.

What a complete and utter moron.

Several pro players have tried the vegan diet while playing pro sports, and all have failed. The ones that come to mind are Bill Walton, Aerian Foster, and incidentally Gerald McCoy. McCoy tried it last year, and finally went away from it when he found he couldn't sustain due to the lack of protein.
Bill Walton suffered from chronic ankle/foot problems since his days at La Jolla High.

While he was able to play through these issues while in HS and at UCLA, he was bound to have trouble surviving an NBA career of multiple 82-game seasons.

His diet had nothing to do with it.

Tyrann Mathieu
Jurrell Casey
Wesley Woodyard

All successful. All vegan. Lots of NFL players battle injury. That's often made worse not by diet but by continuing to play a game where people tend to get hurt. People literally adopt these diets because they see a physical improvement.

Amari Cooper is also vegan.

... and you thought Cam was annoying before.

I've met many healthy Vegans, but none that weren't annoying as hell. It's like an angry cult.

Although it is fun to go to a Vegan forum and start a thread "Is honey OK?" then just sit back and watch them tear each other apart for a couple weeks.

Poor argument.

1. They just went vegan.
2. Casey eats fish. Mathieu had to stray from the diet due to the rigors of the NFL on the road.

Plus, this experiment has just started. Get back to me 10 years down the road, and if they're able to maintain long term, I'll admit I was wrong about the vegan diet.
