And no fan is either so why not go find another team to root for?

Because I have always supported the Dallas Cowboys. I don't tell other people who spew their utter nonsense about players past and present for the Cowboys to support another team. People can have their views even if I completely disagree with them.

With that being said those people throwing themselves under the bus for Blake Bortles 2.0.is hilarious.

See, the fact that you use that statement after the Philly game shows you kind of don't know what was going on then.

He said the 100% correct thing---but maybe given the low IQ of so many Cowboys fans(not saying you) he should not have said it.

His dad had cancer at the time. They were extremely close.
THAT was what he was referring to. On how a football game is not as important as life itself. Never been a more truer and grown man statement.

I agree a lot of the low IQ Cowboy fans wouldn't understand such a philosophical approach in a difficult situation like that.

Pretty much everything except the great football mind part.

He said Romo spent his time chasing tail and basically made it sound like he wasn't dedicated to football and squandered his chance. BS!
Romo was a freaking hermit!

And the year of his life he spent with a celebrity girlfriend only verified it as it was her biggest complaint--that when he wasn't at the Cowboys facility, all they did was sit at home watch film or talk football with a handful of buddies. Plus, she was out of town half the time anyway. He eventually dumped her in part because he was low key and she wanted more limelight.
Any NFL player would've gone out more often with whoever their girlfriend was....but actually having a girlfriend keeps some guys from going out to the bars in the first place.
The narrative was ridiculous.
The guy was just not a partier.

Like I said earlier, I am Dak fan, but he went out on the town more in his first season (let alone the 3 others) than Romo did his entire carer.
I had no problem with him spending hours on the lakes or out partying with Zeke--during the season--because I knew he was putting in his tie to learn his position.

Romo was VERY dedicated. It's not a pissing contest between who was even more dedicated....they BOTH were.

Also, Blackrain said Romo refused to change his game. WHAT!? He was always changing his game, pocket awareness, arm angle, footwork, defense reads, etc....non-stop

And even that comment about being dumb "running" in a preseason game. How idiotic of a statement was that? He was going to get hit so he ran to an open area was going to go down. He just didn't see the guy coming from behind.

Bottom line is that its really childish to bash Romo (inaccurately and unfairly) when really we are here to give some props to Dak. Hounding Romo is not necessary and bs
It's invariably those who view Prescott as Peyton Manning as the ones who bring #9 in to these threads. Ironically they are the ones obsessed with him.

Sure there are people who support Dak, and even some who exaggerate his ability, but nobody views Dak Prescott as Peyton Manning. That's your exaggeration.

Fair.

I was being a bit tongue in cheek but there are some fans on here who genuinely believe that Prescott is as good if not better than Mahomes. Once Mahomes has retired then depending on injury his stats and maybe performances could be even more impressive than Peyton's. Imagine thinking the same about Prescott

They have. There are several posters who have stated that Mahomes was awful in the play offs last season and that Prescott would have at least done the same on that team. Another poster even claimed that Prescott was better than Mahomes and he genuinely believes it. I disagree but people are entitled to their point of view.

Aye.....I'm not saying you should be a fan of another team because you dislike or disagree about Dak. I'm just saying if he brings you so much pain and makes you so miserable why not go root for Mahomes? He's the best qb in the league and plays quarterback for a better ran franchise.

You want to know what's funny though? Guess what team you root for? The team with "Blake Bortles 2.0" as their quarterback. That's what's really hilarious.

Mahomes mightily struggled in the texans game and was lucky to have his special teams and defense give him 3 short fields in a row. Every qb has bad games but its a team game and thats when the other 2 facets of the game need to show up

Take away those three possessions and KC still scores 31 points.

Is 23 of 35 for 321 and 5 TDs, struggling mightily? If that's a bad game, sign me up.

I remember there were many drop passes in the beginning of that game that stalled their early drives.

It's very disingenuous to say Mahomes was bad. Maybe against his standards, but not on overall QB play. To trail 24-0 and then blow a team out is incredible.

Its hard to say what happens if o brien doesnt go for the fake punt. Takes them longer to score maybe theres a holding call that stalls a drive. The fact mahomes only had to drive the offense 35 yards 3 times in a row to score a td is a huge help. Go watch the beginning of the game he had some bad balls and his recievers werent helping. The defense and special teams changed the momentum and gave the offense the spark it needed.

KC had short fields, but it was the lightning strikes that took the wind out of Tennessee's sails.

42 yards 2 plays.
33 yards 3 plays.
6 yards 3 plays.

KC scored 21 points in 8 plays.

Exactly do you think they score in 8 plays if they have to drive 75 yards every time? Like our offense had to do every time

Their other TD drives.

90 yards 8 plays.
85 yards 7 plays.
77 yards 6 plays.
72 yards 4 plays.

The answer to that question is definitely.

Remember that Minnesota team had an elite defense loaded with 1st rounders, so that had a lot to do with their success. That's not to say Keenum didn't do a good job - he did - but the defense was what carried that team over the season.
Thats true! But It also shows Keenum didnt need an elite offensive line. Im pretty sure he didnt have Dalvin Cook.
