Wow. That's a big deal. I was expecting him to have a big year if healthy. I thought Commanders could be a potential sleeper team in NFC East. To get to 8 or 9 wins with that defense and run game but yeah I'm taking that prediction back. What a mess the NFC East has been this offseason as far as the law goes...shockingly..I don't think I've heard anything from Dallas in that regard.

I LOL when the Commanders wasted a pick on him. He was just another over-rated SEC player. I seriously would take Jay Ajayi and his bad knee right now over him.

They’ve got Bryce Love waiting in the wings too. He would have been a first round pick had he come out a year earlier.

As if beating his girlfriend wasn't enough, he chose to follow it up with chocking her.

Such an offense amounts to attempted murder, apparently. He's in big trouble, no doubt.

Derrius is dog. He is part of the reason the LSU Tigers where able to build into a Championship Caliber program culminating in Burrows stellar that put the Program over the top.

Guice has Zeke type talent.

Guice always had off field smoke, remember some.NFL teams took him off their 2018 board. Fell to the 2nd....

If the allegations are false, under McCarthy and his staff I'd sign Guice.

Stupid is as stupid does, as the saying goes. When that stupidity crosses into the realm of attempted murder, that's another level entirely.

His lawyer might choose to plead temporary insanity in his defense. Good luck with that -- normally, it's simply a losing cause, at best.

I'm I reading this right.....his atty is saying the incident happened months ago? Either way, it's interesting he's using this to attack investigators and Commanders decisions, rather than defend Derrius's action. Just me but it appears he more concern about his career than the charges.

+1 .....his career is hanging a thin thread. I'm guessing his only chance to avoid a conviction is victim refuses to cooperate and frankly, that's not out the question (lol).

It never ceases to amaze me the stupidity some of these guys have. In many cases, they've been handed a golden ticket and yet can't keep their nose clean enough to make a bit of cabbage playing a game. Guice sounds like a total douchenozzle.

I remember Dave Helman going around the NFL on draft day for knocking Guice like they did and saying there could be issues.

Looks like the NFL was spot on.

You have to defy some pretty incredible odds to make it to the pros. Then when some of these players do, they just squander it on thoughtless actions. I get that they are young. I made some stupid decisions when I was young too, but, I didn't make any strangle my girlfriend to destroy my career type decisions. Of course, this also reflects on your character and some people just can't "keep their nose clean". Too bad.
