here's an example of how the extremes are with both.

Cowboys lose 48-51, it's Romos fault.
Cowboys lose 10-13, it's Special Teams/Defenses fault (Dak is QB)

More often than not Romo was not the issue with the team. Too many times we have all watched this team under Dak go scoreless for consecutive quarters and in those same games I'm sure every one of you have felt bad for his inability to do anything to help. That's where we're at.

LOL......Dak goes scoreless?

I envision him out there running around all by himself. Funny to watch you get so desperate with your hilarious rants.

Romo teams generally suffered from the EXACT same things that Dak teams do. Garrett and defense, at times special teams.

They also suffered from a generally clueless fan base and QB challenged trolls like you that that dont understand the QB position.

Does that settle it then? How many times do you remind yourself that I don't understand anything?

8-8 and played just as pathetic as his teammates in the loses we had last season.

Yet many of you make excuses for him still.

But but but it Zeke, it's the wr drops,it's the defense. It's special teams. It's the kicker. He had a bum shoulder.

But,but, but it goes both ways and the problem ya'll running into is people are tired of the cape up when he's just as much a culprit as the rest of the team.

But because he plays the disingenuous son story, sports nice guy act. Ya'll come to his rescue like a simp on twitch caping up for Pokimane.

People see though this. That's were most of the push back comes from.

Dak doesnt need excuses. The guy was 1 yard away from the all time Cowboys passing record and led the #1 offense in football averaging over 27 points per game. :yourock::oldcouple::oldcouple:

This team should win 4-5 games just by playing our division rivals Twice a year. So what's the excuse gonna be if they miss the playoffs again?? McCarthy??

Thats why its called an average genius. :lmao2::lmao::lmao:

Cherry picking little troll needs some new material. I have 4 years of data.

How's your "Dak is backup material" claim turning out?

:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:
Never said Dak was a back up, cherry picking? As for average that is what you got right, Dak is a average QB. Glad you finally are seeing the light.

Every time you post.

So.........have you done enough research to fire this out yet?

What part of the team was its biggest strength in 2019?

Defense, Offense, Special Teams, Coaching

If you cant answer this simple question, then you have no business on a Cowboys forum.

Feel free to post the stats that show that Dak is average.
.500 is the only stat that matters last year, the garbage time numbers do not matter. Keep telling yourself Dak is great with all those garbage dump stats. How did you enjoy those great stats he had in the playoffs last year? Sad Dak groupie still angry he didn’t get that long term deal you guarantied . Stop being so pathetic it might still happen.

That the *offense* failed to score is not necessarily on Dak. Last year he only had 1 game with more than 1 int.

The only game I remember where Dak's performance looked like the problem was the last Philly game, where he was injured and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with receiver wide open. But I put that on coaching. Dak couldn't play. Put in the backup.

record doesn't mean jack. Keep reaching

Don't need our offense to look so miserable for 3 quarters the stadium is silent when we're on the field because Dak can't hit a receiver if he was size of a barn. Then he finally hits a guy in stride in the 4th and OMG clutch!!!!

I'll hear the excuse of the defense and special teams in a 13-10 loss or in any other game it's all the defenses fault, yet we score 0 points in the third quarter while being down multiple scores at half and it's like "are we going to excuse Dak and the offense again?"

but we were told he couldn't win vs good teams. that's the point of the thread

the win/loss record doesn't tell a story of individual performance.

You and the OP are being disingenuous

oh it doesn't tell the story when the argument is flip. all we've heard was "DAK" cant beat good teams. whenever I bring up wins as a team stat, there's jokers on here who want to claim the qb wins and losses

LOL subtract the 6-2 record he had in 2016 and then do the math

If you are going to (not you) subtract his record last year to try and make a point then you can subtract his record from any year to make a point. His record is his record all years included ...period

Okay, let's play your game.

2019 -
Dak - Gms 16 - Cmp 388 - Att 596 - Cmp % 65.1 - Yds 4902
Brady - Gms 16 - Cmp 373 - Att 613 - Cmp % 60.8 - Yds 4057 I added the GOAT just for some perspective
Rodgers - Gms 16 - Cmp 353 - Att 569 - Cmp % 62.0 - Yds - 4002
Wentz - Gms 16 - Cmp 388 - Att 607 - Cmp % 63.8 - Yds 4039
Brees - Gms 11 - Cmp 281 - Att 378 p Cmp % 74.3 - Yds 2979

So you didn't like the graphic in the OP's post. You cherry pick a few games in one season and make a claim this is his career.

Then how about these stats

2016-2019
Dak - Gms 64 - Cmp 1336 - Att 2071 - Cmp % 65.8 - Yds 15778
Brady - Gms 60 - Cmp 1424 - Att 2196 - Cmp % 64.8 - Yds 16543
Rodgers - Gms 55 - Cmp 1496 - Att 2014 - Cmp % 74.0 - Yds 14547
Wentz - Gms 56 - Cmp 1311 - Att 2055 - Cmp % 63.8 - Yds 14191
Brees - Gms 58 - Cmp 1502 - Att 2076 - Cmp % 72.0 - Yds 16213

And Dak has a featured back and Garrett as a head coach.

However, going back and looking at the first four years of starting for each of these guys, Dak is right there with all of them.

I'd suggest not being able to hit a receiver if he were the size of barn is a bit of exaggeration.

Stats gathered from Pro-Football Reference.com

also in this Garrett not too shabby.

Dak was 1-7 when he threw over 40 times a game, meaning more Dak means more L’s. Take away 13-3 in season 1 where his impact was the least and he was the number 1 bus driver in the league and it’s even worse, he’s like 5-15... Take Cooper away, guy is on pace to throw Quincy Carter levels of Dallas futility. Take Zeke away, he throws for less than 100 yards against the Commanders and can’t even beat a winning team during the six game stretch and put up even double digit scoring..

Also, Mr. Clutch hasn’t really been clutch after year 1....

why would you take away the 13-3 season? that's absolutely stupid, are you taking away his peers winning seasons too?
