When is camp starting? I haven't been following since we've had the power outage here in the northeast for the last 4 days.
I live at the corner of a main road and a dead end street. The neighbor across the dead end street and everyone on the dead end have had power since Wednesday. I just talked to the power company and they said I probably won't have it until Sunday.

You probably got hit even harder down there in Jersey. How are you making out?

A true but useless statement that misses point.
No, the point was that LVE's neck is fragile, but everyone's neck is fragile. He might be slightly more prone to injury, but the difference between what would hurt him and what would hurt anyone else is probably less than you think.

We disagree on the "slightly more prone to injury" point. His history, combined with recent surgery, makes his neck/spine significantly more problematic than others IMO. (I hope your right on this point BTW!)

His playing position is a major factor too. LVE plays LB, which means colliding head on with extremely big, powerful, fast players. These are violent collisions.

These two factors combined are why I say his career could be over at any time- which is technically true for any player as you pointed out, but I think LVE is in the extremely high risk category compared to the average player.

Likely a little bit of both, as he should be in my opinion. I'm sure he has some measure of doubt himself and is rightfully taking any and all steps he can in order to prevent it from happening again. Same as a guy who has had knees issues wearing a brace and giving himself the best chance to prevent a re-occurrence.
Why Im a little confused about LVE to the middle and Jaylon outside.
We will see how this plays out but it just seemed a better fit for both the other way around with Jaylon at MLB.
I do however like the LB rooks in camp this year, esp Bernard,,, this team needs depth here.

Maybe it's just me but the neck roll makes me pause bit. Can't help but thinking back to Garrett's initial presser after his injury last season where he said they didn't his injury as career-threatening. What's even crazier, he volunteered the statement.

After his highly paid spokesman/agent reported last month that LVE was now rebooted and reengineered for NFL domination, I was feeling good.

Now that LVE himself has reported that his years long history of significant injuries is no worries, I’m 100% confident we are getting the unvarnished truth

“This is not the injury risk you are looking for. Move along”

How good LVE feels in the preseason is not important. How he feels after playing fulltime in a legit game is what matters. Coming back to do it again and again, and still feeling good to go is what matters. I'm glad he feels good enough to participate in practice.

I live in CT, we still have no power. So I took off to Vermont for a long weekend of riding the quads and golfing. Headed home today to see how many more days I'll be on the generator. Thanks for asking and good luck with your power too!

Just as an FYI an ACDF (Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion) is considered a minimally invasive procedure as well. Spagnola reported in December that was the procedure he was going to have.

Well, I don't think I would want to have many impact hits with hardware in my neck. The x-ray photos of broken pedicle
screws give me he creeps.

Oh crap, sorry. For some reason I was thinking you were someone else. Sorry about that. I finally got my power back on Saturday morning.
