These guys are having no time for real practice. We’re going to really need to lean on him because he knows these guys best.

Edit: Mods please change title to really rely*

Kellen will bring us to the promised land, my brothers...

So long as Dak and Zeke actually improve over their rookie years and the line holds up...

Kellen's going to be doing a ton of packages with a bunch of shifts and motions, otherwise known as the opposite of Garrett's BS.. I'll bet he starts running trick plays for TD's - just watch...

The offense is the one with the same coaches from last year. Kellen was retained and Nussmeier was retained. Not worried about the offense. Defense is my concern.

I have yet to see anything Kellen Moore has done which is a game changer for this team. The real back-up to his ability is Mike M who can take over play calling, or make suggestions in game.

Moore may be the second coming of Norv. But up to this point I just don't see it.

Fix the inconsistent defense and horrible special teams. The offense will be fine.

Agreed but the offense wasn't perfect last year. The running game was inconsistent and it shouldn't be. Coaching was the main reason for that. I also feel like the team stalled too many times in the red zone and became predictable. My feeling is that coaching was a large part of that as well.

I'm hearing the passing schemes and terminology will remain the same. While the running game gets an apparent upgrade from McCarthy.

With Garrett no longer handcuffing Moore, we should see a little more creativity in our play designs and shifts. As far as our redzone woes go Ceedee Lamb and Blake Jarwin should give us a needed boost in that area.

With no one being able to run against us, due to new personnel, my only concern is our secondary. Hopefully we can disguise covers and deploy new schemes to cover up our deficiencies there. To me, our offense and our defensive front seven are going to be okay. It's our secondary and our special teams that really need to be coached up.

Yep...…………..most simple fans don't fully understand the team concept or the importance of coaching. They either blame everything on one or the other.
Moore will beat Dak in a practice passing game and some here will want to bench Dak and bring Moore out of retirement!

Does anyone take these troll clowns seriously anymore?

Brax just told me that defense, special teams, and coaching don't matter. That the QB should lead his team deep into the playoffs regardless of everything around him.

He then went on to backup that statement by saying that Dak has plenty of talent on offense. Completely doesn't understand that defense, special teams, and coaching even exist or matter. :muttley:

Very true but theres no telling to what degree Garrett may have held him back.

Back into hope mode.

#1 offense in the league wasn’t good enough for you, Deep? Their 431 yards per game was crazy good - Baltimore was second with 407 - it wasn’t even close.

Last year we saw more motion, more innovative ways to scheme players open, etc. Some of the game plans were below average but those had Garrett’s fingerprints all over them.

This year I expect to see our Idaho boy unchained. With Jarwin as the full time tight end and Lamb as the #3, this offense is going to break records.

Offense was something like top 5 all time in yards per game average. Up there with the Rams greatest show on turf teams.

Yet, the team, when in crunch time, did not score enough points to win. That is my concern. yardage is terrific. And if Boy Wonder can translate that into less dropped balls and more touchdowns, then he will sell me.

But I think back to Norv.

"Jimmy, do you want to run the ball here?"

"I want to score."

Deep slant and Dallas was headed to the Super Bowl.

Players are great. These players will be greatness.

If....

Moore can get them into the endzone. Not 80 yards and stalling out because he is either too transparent the other team knows the play, or too staid he cannot figure out where the weakness is and get the points.

The 2020/21 season Motto should be - Touchdowns, not field goals.

So pardon me if I still question him. The smell of Garrett, and Moore linger when the team could not overcome the rain and beat a Patriots team that was on it's heels most of that game.

This is my opinion.

Here’s your chance to clear things up! Or do I need to repost your direct quotes?

1. Do you consider defense, special teams, and coaching important to winning? Do they matter?

2. Do you expect the qb to lead any team deep into the playoffs regardless of the team around him?

Simple questions.

I think Kellen is going to have a great season coaching football.

There's a reason why McCarthy kept him. He could've taken one look at his resume and sent him packing.
