I liked Gary Guyton more than Jon'vea Johnson. With that being said, speed only helps at the wideout position if it's starting, IMO. With Garrett's run heavy offense I always thought we should have had a speedy WR on the field to scare DB's off the line of scrimmage. So I would have liked to have seen, Gallup as our one WR and Guyton as our two WR (before we traded for Cooper).

Then we could have kept Beasley.

Yeah. Players that some teams evaluated higher than others.

It's just unlikely if they can't scout them. Maybe some young guys from last season that don't make it.

I think you'd be even more inclined to roll with the guys you at least got to practice with in camp. Particularly since you've got the looming possibilities of having a handful of guys out for several weeks if they get sick. Seems like roster churn would be really problematic if you end up having to play guys who just arrived

Right. Makes sense, but I'm thinking as the season goes on and teams start to drop out of the race.

Could be more late round trade picks too, the closer we get to final cut down roster.
i think we ourselves could have some surprise cuts and trades about that time too.
