I thought every team needs a Mahomes to win it?

Dak was cheap for 4 years. I don't remember hearing you talk about that.

At least you admit our defense needs to be built. :muttley:

So its either a great defense and a middling QB or Mahomes and a middling defense?

Troll logic at its best.

How about we just improve the defense and get a real HC?

Oh wait...…….that's what we did.
I believe at this point you're just arguing just for the sake of arguing.

Dak was cheap, that was a window. We failed, so I'm all for finding another cheap alternative, in hopes we continue to build all the pieces around. At no point have I ever said we need Mahomes, but I'm definitely not opposed to bringing in a generational talent at the most important position, you'd be foolish to turn that down. I'm done here sir.

Poof, bring in a generational talent...……...Poof, build a top defense.

Amazing how easy these things seem to you.

If you truly believe that defense matters, then its pretty obvious to see that all this team really needs to do is improve the defense and get a real HC in here.

But that wouldn't suit your agenda.

Does coaching matter to you at all or that isn't important? Garrett, Bellicheck all the same to you?

Do you think that going from last years coaching staff to this years is going to make a difference?

But you are aware that just they lucked into Dak and could very well be 20 plus years before they find someone as good just like they did with Aikman? It took them 30 years to find the best thing since Aikman. And they tried numerous ways.

why would you take away the 13-3 season? that's absolutely stupid, are you taking away his peers winning seasons too?

I already explained why.. RG3 also had a good first season.. All the claims about Dak, such as being clutch have been proven false since then. He also showed his capabilities when Zeke was suspended, Cooper wasn’t here and Smith is out and he’s not surrounded by all pro-talent at every position.

If he only had a team...

I sang that like the Wizard of Oz song.

If only his kicker, was reliable in tha thicka...
If he only had a kicker...

If only his a-D, could only get an INT,
If he only had a D...

If only he could have a short field...
If only his team help get them to gold!

I know it's a tricka,
But it's really thicka,
to win an NFL game,
but you need some circumstances that will help you take the outcome

If he only had a team.

Top 3 OL, top RB in the league for four years, fastest WRs in the NFL... how many excuses does he get? Can’t even throw a TD in training camp for one week...

record doesn't mean jack. Keep reaching

Don't need our offense to look so miserable for 3 quarters the stadium is silent when we're on the field because Dak can't hit a receiver if he was size of a barn. Then he finally hits a guy in stride in the 4th and OMG clutch!!!!

I'll hear the excuse of the defense and special teams in a 13-10 loss or in any other game it's all the defenses fault, yet we score 0 points in the third quarter while being down multiple scores at half and it's like "are we going to excuse Dak and the offense again?"
Records matter to you when they are in your favor.

if Dak is barely top 10 for many people around here in a league of "ok" qbs, I don't see why we'd be struggling as much as some of you believe if we dumped him. Our overall team structure is much better than anything than Aikman had when he retired all the way to the 2007 team. And it's better than every team we've had after that. I think we'll be fine. Just because some of us fear the unknown doesn't mean we have to settle for one position while we improve the rest. That's all I'm saying.

there's only so much more money you can put in the offense to help Dak. We're probably sitting at the top of the league in cap towards the offense and Dak sure as heck isn't carrying the team or making the right throws against the tough teams when it matters. That's a problem unless you have a QB you are confident in 100% of the time.

rex grossman won against good teams...
tim tebow won against good teams...
eli manning won against good teams...

that's irrelevant when that's been the haters go to. they weren't talking about Rex,Tebow, or Eli. what the op showed was where he compared with some of the better qbs, and more so, what you just posted shows how much wins are team stats.

RG3 is no where near the qb Dak is, Dak didnt just have 1 year of good football as an individual player. when analyst across the league and his peers feel he's a good qb.

It’s not about helping dak.

It’s these type of comments that show you don’t understand football.

A perfect qb? Again you show your qb challenged. Hard to have a conversation with that.

I appreciate the continuous conversation with someone who's qb challenged. No matter how difficult you keep persisting. Just be glad you have your qb and hope that the rest of the team lines up to give him that ring. Good night good sir.

So tell me...………………..

-How many games did the offense win for us?
-How many games did the offense lose for us?

The offense lost at least a couple: New Orleans and New England. There might have been one or two more. Jets? Eagles?

Most of the time it was the defense letting the offense down, though, like it has for years, but the offense needed to be better in a handful of games.

My mantra on Garrett is that his offensive philosophy was good enough unless we faced an offense with just as much talent. Then coaching made the difference.
