I love me some randy moss own two of his jerseys

but that thanksgiving day game when i saw 3 catches 163 yards and like 2 touchdowns

My heart sank....like I really felt hopeless

that 2005 Santana Moss game had no business happening....WHOOOOO launches not one but TWO bombs like “screw it Santana over there somewhere” and scores on both?

the Commanders didnt move the ball for 55 minutes of a 60 minute game and WON!

I still feel both of those games, I was so pissed after that skins game, I took off work the next day.

I was traumatized by McNabb, I felt like it was 40 points on us for a few years straight in the early 2000s

A list of the top ten players on other teams that made us miserable. The players are split, for the most part, by those on playoff teams and those in the NFC East. A few of them are both. The players selected didn't necessarily have the best stats, they were the daggers in some of the Cowboys most historic losses.

1. Lynn Swan - WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

2. John Riggins - RB, Washington Commanders

3. Dwight Clark - WR, San Fransisco 49ers

4. Charley Taylor- WR, Washington Commanders

5. Aaron Rodgers - QB, Green Bay Packers

6. Wilbert Montgomery - RB, Philadelphia Eagles

7 Aeneus Williams - CB, Cardinals and Rams

8. Randy Moss - WR, Minnesota Vikings

9. Terry Bradshaw - QB, Pittsburgh Steelers

10. Ricky Watters - RB, 49ers and Eagles

Dishonorable Mention:

Ken Houston, Santana Moss, Joe Montana, Eric Dickerson. Art Monk, Paul Warfield, Sonny Jergeson, Diron Talbert, Jerome Brown, Deion Sanders, Mike Curtis, Leroy Kelly, Harold Carmichael. DeSean Jackson, Terrell Owens, Lito Shephard, Dexter Manley, Clyde Simmons

I'm sure the list is incomplete and there are opinions on the ranking. However, I would find it difficult to pick a player other than Lynn Swan for #1. Four receptions for 161 yards and a TD in Super Bowl 10, seven receptions for 124 yards and a TD in Super Bowl 13. In those two SB's combined, he caught 11 passes for a total of 285 yards and 2 TD's. That was an average of 25.9 yards a reception.
Where is Deuce Staley?

Montana and Clark are in here for one game.

I remember in SB XIII it wasn't Lynn Swan that aggravated me, it was John Stallworth.

If I may take the liberty of adding one player to the dishonorable list:

Lawrence Pillars

His sack of Danny White in the ‘82 championship game and resulting fumble.

If that doesn’t happen I believe Dallas gets the necessary yardage and kicks the winning FG.

And they probably would’ve gone on to beat Cincinnati in the SB.

Just think...

I'd probably throw several of those Packers from the late 1960s in there, Bart Starr notably.

In my lifetime, it's probably Phillip Rivers and Tom Brady, as I don't think we've ever beaten them. And Aaron Rodgers has delivered some of the worst losses of my lifetime.
yeah brady is 4-0 against cowboys. and GB as a franchise has knocked us out of playoffs 4-5 times, more than any other team?

Jason Garrett #1 on that list. How many great Cowboys careers did he kill?

We can add Aaron Jones to the list now after his 4 TD game against us last year. You know...……..the game you said the offense lost for us?:muttley:

Great bad list!

I would add a couple of others:
  • John Stallworth of the stealers. In SB XIII, after the Cowboys gained the lead and momentum in the second quarter 14-7, Stallworth turned a short pass into a 75 yd TD to tie the game and change the momentum.
  • Bart Starr-GB- in the conference championships of ‘66 and ‘67, Starr was the Cowboys killer, making big plays in big moments of both games- which were close. He’s famous for his QB sneak TD in the Ice Bowl, but he made several huge plays on that last drive to get them in position to win.

Jerry Rice .....

Eric Dickerson set the NFL record for single game rushing total in a playoff game (against us Cowboys) with an astounding 250 yards,.. that even ranks ahead of John Riggins and waaay of Rickey Watters in my book ...

Clyde Simmons over Reggie White ? And no mention of Reggie White at all ?

:omg:

I believe that was his 300+ yard game. Pathetic Carr never contended a pass and I absolutely hated the overhype of his intro when he signed with dallas. They played his highlights on the jumbotron against Calvin and acted like Carr was actually a good CB.
