What’s really sad for Cowboys Football is Garrett was arguably the most successful HC in the last 25 years.

Only the 3rd Cowboys HC to win COY, 2nd in wins behind Landry, more division titles and playoff wins than the previous 4 HC and he was hated cause he wasn’t able to do what no one else has done since the 90’s dynasty.

Thanks Jason for the best of the last quarter century of Cowboys Football. It didn’t suk as much as the rest.
Awful take.

Garrett was the most successful coach of the last 25 years because he is the only one that could co-exist with Jerry for prolonged periods of time. Jerry also couldn't fire him, even when he deserved to be fired over 7 seasons ago.

And if COY is your measuring stick for greatness, then Chuck Knox is just as great as Bill Belichick and better than Vince Lombardi.

He's not even the most successful. By far the most losses since Jimmy. His winning percentage is behind Switzer, Gailey, and Phillips.

He was only successful into hanging on to the job the longest. Which was entirely about backroom politics and being in Jerry's family portrait, not performance.

It is what it is.

It speaks more to how bad this era has been. And the fact no one really expects anyone to have much success with Jerry.

And Knox was a solid HC.

Personally I wish him well. Professionally I hope he gets his arse handed to him every week during the season.

"We had a lot of great days there..."

What is with this guy and the focus on days? Those great days he wanted to continuously stack amounted to a heap of nothing.
Spoken like a true loser.

Later, Garrett.
This is a lot of stretching for a reason to criticize. Okay, he wasn't a good enough coach, and, like most fans, I'm glad the Cowboys finally made a change, but I how in the world are these comments something to complain about?

I'm Shocked. All you Dak guys should be happy?

Jason Garrett's Description of Daniel Jones is identical to the description he gave a Dak for four years.

"prepared, loves ball, big with a strong arm.....excited for the opportunity to coach him"

If you really think about it, Garrett didn’t have that many “great” days when it came to winning big games over a 10 year HC career. You can actually count them on one hand:

2014 @ Seahawks

2016 @ Steelers

2018 Saints in a 3 point home win.

I’m not even going to count the playoff win against the Seahawks. Their season ended the following week.

I wish him well in NY but I won’t miss him in the least.
Well said. Very well said.

And the idea that none of those were ever strung together is telling.

All about a "process." Yeah, about having the best player in the league at every position as necessary because you refuse to scheme then blame that on the players.

Really, shut up.

Best gift you can do for us is hang around in NY for a while and keep them irrelevant while we attempt to remove the stench of your existence.

Edit....obviously not you on the end...I got on a Garrett rant lol

LOL.

You think these are the only big wins? I would advise you to take a second look cuz this list is pathetically wrong.
