Yes I know this.

sorry was just pointing out how odd it was that with all the times they played in the 90's only one game was at lambeau!

made up for it in the 00's though when we played there seemingly always...04, 08, 09, 10, 14, 16.

Some names that come to mind:

1) Aaron Rodgers
2) Tom Brady
3) Randy Moss
4) Hakeem Nicks/Victor Cruz/Mario Manningham/Amani Toomer
5)Santana Moss
6)John Riggins
7) Joe Montana/Dwight Clark
8) Zach Ertz
9) Calvin Johnson
10) Tony Dixon/Phil Pozderac/Orlando Scandrick
11)Gary Clark, Art Monk, Alvin Garrett

Yeah Rodgers is definitely the winner over the last 10 years. I’ve had zero confidence we’re going to win whenever we’ve played him lately

I'm going 2001 onwards.

Santana Moss as mentioned, ate our lunch game after game, we couldn't stop him.
Brandon Jacobs, hate that motor mouth and wanted nothing more than for our Boys to shut him up, it feels like they never did.
Jeff Feagles, man, that guy. Not much worse than getting a defensive stop and then Feagles punting it to your 2 yard line.

A list of the top ten players on other teams that made us miserable. The players are split, for the most part, by those on playoff teams and those in the NFC East. A few of them are both. The players selected didn't necessarily have the best stats, they were the daggers in some of the Cowboys most historic losses.

1. Lynn Swan - WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

2. John Riggins - RB, Washington Commanders

3. Dwight Clark - WR, San Fransisco 49ers

4. Charley Taylor- WR, Washington Commanders

5. Aaron Rodgers - QB, Green Bay Packers

6. Wilbert Montgomery - RB, Philadelphia Eagles

7 Aeneus Williams - CB, Cardinals and Rams

8. Randy Moss - WR, Minnesota Vikings

9. Terry Bradshaw - QB, Pittsburgh Steelers

10. Ricky Watters - RB, 49ers and Eagles

Dishonorable Mention:

Ken Houston, Santana Moss, Joe Montana, Eric Dickerson. Art Monk, Paul Warfield, Sonny Jergeson, Diron Talbert, Jerome Brown, Deion Sanders, Mike Curtis, Leroy Kelly, Harold Carmichael. DeSean Jackson, Terrell Owens, Lito Shephard, Dexter Manley, Clyde Simmons

I'm sure the list is incomplete and there are opinions on the ranking. However, I would find it difficult to pick a player other than Lynn Swan for #1. Four receptions for 161 yards and a TD in Super Bowl 10, seven receptions for 124 yards and a TD in Super Bowl 13. In those two SB's combined, he caught 11 passes for a total of 285 yards and 2 TD's. That was an average of 25.9 yards a reception.
I didn't see Jackie Smith on that list :)

I'd probably throw several of those Packers from the late 1960s in there, Bart Starr notably.

In my lifetime, it's probably Phillip Rivers and Tom Brady, as I don't think we've ever beaten them. And Aaron Rodgers has delivered some of the worst losses of my lifetime.
Forest Greg - that's the O-Linemen they ran behind for the game winning TD in the Ice Bowl.

Two that come to mind but may not fit what the OP is looking for because they weren't constant thorns in the Cowboys sides, but C.J. Anderson for his performance against the Cowboys in the playoffs in 2018, and Erik Kramer for destroying the Cowboys in the playoffs after the 1991 season. Who the hell would have thought those two guys would dominate the Cowboys the way they did? I was speechless watching Kramer crush the Cowboys.

I see most of the players on these lists.

How about coaches?

Jim Johnson comes to mind. I saw a few Eagles mentioned, but the one who really comes to mind for me is Jim Johnson. Those Eagles Defenses ripped us up, and we were already a bad team as it was. Definitely brings back some humiliating loss memories. I also remember Duce Staley having our number a few times, but I don't see him mentioned.

Jim Hart, Terry Metcalf, Mel Grey always gave us fits....we lost to them at least once a year during the SB runs in the late 70s.

Assuming this has to be for more than just one game?

Eli deserves strong consideration... he played way longer than he should have so of course he declined at the end, but for a while there he was a big problem for our defense.
Also he’s not someone that immediately comes to mind but Drew Brees has absolutely shredded the Cowboys at times. 21 career TDs vs only 6 INTs.

I'm going to say it was his receivers. All Eli did was chuck it up and far as he could. It seems he always had 2 or even 3 receivers with radar that would flat out go get the ball.

You mean the obvious false start that was not called. :muttley:
lol. The other idea I've heard is that Jethro Pugh sneezed right as the ball was snapped and that allowed the Packers to get the jump off the line.

By the way, Clapping Carrot correctly pointed out it was Jerry Kramer and not Forrest Greg that the Packers ran behind.
