Washington's front seven could cause some problems for us, for the next three years.

And Philly's secondary looks pretty strong.

But I'd say we have the second best defense in the East, after Washington's.

I mean Aldon Smith has not played football in years so it is a little unfair to include him on that list. It makes the list sound good but I would not even consider him a lock to make the team let alone contribute.

The real question is how many did Smith, Lawrence and Griffen get against non-playoff teams, because those are considered garbage:laugh:

Did Fletcher get 12 or something? These double down stats get stale. The first player to throw for 300 yards for the first 14 of the 29 games when it didn't rain...while at home:D

Still appreciate your content though Hawkeye don't get me wrong, more of a pet peeve during broadcasts, etc.

While it's nice to have several DEs who have had big success in the past, it's even better, in the here and now, for their futures to be promising.

DEs, Smith, Lawrence and Griffen have all qualified at that level in the past but what they'll do for the Cowboys in the future means even more!

Regardless, I can't wait to see them performing for America's Team in the here and now. We shall now see if they're still worthy of such acclaim.

One word I think will define our new DL..........hungry. With exception od DLaw, all trying to prove they're worthy of a new deal.

Add the fact that Giants, Eagles, Commanders are all making changes at LT, this bodes well for our pass rushers.

the giants have two guys with double digit sacks in their past. I still think Kerrigan is the best pass rusher in the division.

ON PAPER this was all said that off season the NYG spent 200mil on the defense..what happened? dream teams are a paper fandom narratve.lets lay the games.. their defenses will have tio deal with our offense and i doubt it gives us much issues.. they have a qb issue in Washington they will not be able to score enough , we have 2 RBs that can run and catch , 3 WRS that can all be starter 1s and a TE that can block and another that can run routes when you think you got the others all locked down..

I think we have the best offense in the east by far and with an improved coaching staff, ST Kicker, and dwefense..im not just fan saying this i tin we are the team to beat in the east..yet i know once again it will come don to us vs eagles late in the year.. Washington and NY arent ready to get in that mix yet IMHO..

The year the Giants went and spent all that money they went on to had an elite defense lol. Wrong example to use bud

The only thing that makes me pause a bit about this DL it's a one-shot deal for 2020. ( Smith, Griffen, Poe, Crawford all 2021 free agents ). Guess the best thing is to worry about NOW and let the future take care of itself (lol).

Washington's DL is the most talented but overall their defense has been suspect. Chase Young is great but not sure he'll make that lower 1/4 ranked defense into even middle of the pack. Not immediately at least.

I'd guess Philly and Dallas will be top 12ish in most defensive stats. While Washington and NYG are somewhere in the 20-25 range.

Cowboys dline has overall been weaker than division foes at least in the middle. Now their front 7 looks to be the best. Secondary is questionable for every NFC East team. Slay and Collins are the best secondary players but not much else to write about. The Cowboys 3 WRs will matchup welI.

Jonathan Allen, Payne and Young are 3 nice players. Sweat has potential. But on paper, as is right now our whole defense looks more talented and deep. Older but that's where the depth kicks in.
