Anyone that knows football knows romo was the first qb here for a decade after the nfl went pass mode.

Whoopty doo. Some people can't really refute things except by saying the game changed. It's funny how other QB's prior this pass mode who played when Aikman played that had more passing yards than Aikman who you are no doubt referring to, but Romo you say it was all because of the passing mode. Aikman's best year 1992 he was 4th in the league and his other years he ranged from 6th - 9th yet you want to use passing mode as the reason Romo holds most of the Cowboys passing records. Again funny how other QB's in the same era passed for more yards before the passing mode but that's your answer.

Do we now arguably have the best DL in the NFL? Can't think of any other DL Corps. that tops us on paper

No. And I doubt that it's close.

McCoy and Crawford are ok for pass rush DTs. Nothing beyond them.
DLaw was good not great, and evaporated on the sacks in the back half of the year. Half a sack, last 8 games. Ugh.
I do love the 1T run defense depth with Poe and Woods.
Everson was a big pickup. A legitimate quality starter. After him, we hope on Aldon, hope on Gregory. Hill and Gallimore maybe give something.

We've got solid good starters now. Things to hope for behind that. Can't believe that's close to being the best in the league.

Well..

we leave no stone unturned when it comes to looking at help.

This should be a good fit for him with his mission to reestablish himself.

Our staff is seemingly gearing itself to take on these types of guy like him and Alsdon Smith to see if they have it together.

Not to mention they still look for Gregory to return DTR.

That's a full house of rehabs. man.

Lol. They leave most stones unturned. We lucked up on a head sse he misplayed his hand. I’m stoked, but this was another “honest offer” that just happened to workout due to extraordinary circumstances

I think its great they signed Griffin but feel like its kinda late. I wanted all these guys to be a Cowboy years ago when they had fresh legs. Having all these big name guys on the downside of their careers is a genius marketing move by Jerry. Im not sure how much its going to help the defense. I expect it to help some but not as much as everyone else thinks.

couldn't stand garrett, never sold on romo. now witten finally gone from that era. Finally starting new after all those years.
I liked Romo but after a few seasons of watching him I knew he was never gonna win a SB. He was just too mistake prone at the worst times. I see similar with Dak, he is too inconsistent and just doesnt have the accuracy to make those 4-5 key throws a game that keep drives alive and also score in the redzone.
I liked Witten too but after a while he was progress stopper and I dont think this team gave other TEs a fair chance to start. Ive never liked the way Garrett didnt earn his job with experience. Jerry should of jumped on Kyle Shanahan when he was with the Falcons.

I cannot be understated that we got a much more well rounded DE for a fraction of what it would have cost to bring Quinn back.
I feel 20% of the game is luck, timing and Situation. Sometimes your the windshield and sometimes your the bug.

I would add the LBsr Corp as being at the top of the league as well.

The front 7 could be very stout for us.

The secondary will be the fly in the ointment to me. Losing Jones at CB leaves a hole that has to be fixed.

We'll see.

name me the probowl corners and safeties for the giants in 07 and 11? A good front seven can more than make up for average backfield.
