I know a torn ACL can happen to anybody but you have to wonder if this is just the beginning of the end of Gerald McCoy career. I know people are going to say age doesn't matter but you have to wonder

Man that sucks. I know injuries happen and I hope he comes back but damn, it’s always something for us.

he's on the wrong side of 30 and only had 5 sacks last year

i'm not sure what everyone was realistically expecting..

Its still too early, but you have to like the early signs.

Yep, clearly, Hill didn't perform up to snuff in his rookie season and some of us were quite ready to write him off.

Early in camp, he's been performing well, much to the surprise of the same ones who had doubts about him. ;)

I'll have to confess, I was one who was numbered among those doubting individuals. Having 2nd thoughts now!

Remember years ago when the vikes had I think there last names were Williams clogging the middle and they both were 320. Heck even the gnats had snacks and cannot remember the guy name during Zeke and Dak rookie year and we had trouble running on them.

honestly, let's say losing McCoy really ends up being a HUGE blow

we're all used to this team being dog poop on that side of the ball anyways (sans 2018). So back to normal. Offense gotta keep the D on the sidelines

It’s a blow. But not an insurmountable blow. We didn’t lose a prime mccoy. We lost an older, veteran leader. We can manage this and still be solid

McCoy was down to 285, he was not going to be the difference in run defense. He will be a big loss in interior pass rush though. Aldon Smith is also 285 right now. He and Crawford could kick in if needed. But we drafted Hill and Gallimore high. They need to step up and play.
