Mahommes is special. Lamar...time will tell. I would give Mahommes a 10 year contract. Would I give Lamar that? No way.
Wentz? Not special. I would rather have Josh Allen. Goff? He's Eli Manning level. Rodgers? Too old to discuss.

Dak? He is grouped in with Wentz, Goff level. Doesnt throw as hard of a ball as Wentz or as pretty as Goff but has better intangibles.

10 being superb like Mahomes, 1 being a retired JaMarcus Russell

If Mahomes and Lamar are likely Nos. 10 and 9, does it make our highly paid Dak a No. 4?
I don't see Dak being within spitting distance of their talent, along with that of Brees, Brady, Rogers. Even Rivers and Goff and Watson and Garrapolo

Face it, stenographers, buskers, sharks and contractors.
Our QB is the Da Vinci of mediocrity and worse.

I don't believe lamar is anywhere near a 9 and if we're going to rate dak from 1-10 I'd have him at 5 because of andrew luck syndrome (show up vs bad defenses, meh vs good defenses so that's maybe half the games I'm unimpressed)

With dak I have zero confidence they'll pull off the W. Whereas before with the previous qb i felt we could beat any team. This isnt a former vs current comparison, just putting my perspective on how I view Dak as a whole.

Dak’s not a playmaker.

That’s the problem.

My only real problem with Dak is that he was a playmaker but that led to him holding a lottery ticket for 3 years and playing not to get hurt or lose the ticket. He changed his style and isn’t the same player. He is still good but not who I thought he could become after his rookie season.

Mahomes thinks he is. That is why he studies him and steals from Dak.....that is the words of Mahomes.....

No one is Mahomes, but you seem to be suffering from Dak Derangement Syndrome.

You see every mistake he makes because you watch him every week. What you obviously don't see is how often some of those other guys you mentioned screw up. Therefore, they have to be better.

Off the top of the dome and in no particular order:

Mahommes, Lamar, Brees, Rodger's, & Wilson are better overall QB's.

Everyone else though, you are really splitting hairs.

And remember, there is alot more to playing the Quarterback position than throwing the ball.

Do you think you've found a unique way to trigger a "bash Dak" thread? Sorry to burst your bubble, but it's really just the same thread that's been started over and over again.

The main point is if you pay a QB top dollar then they need to win games, as in close games or games against good teams by making key plays with their arm. Mahomes, Wilson and Rodgers have done so in countless games over the years and that's why they justify being paid big money. A great example would be Rodgers vs the Seahawks in the play offs last season. It wasn't a blow out but a close game between two fantastic quarterbacks. Wilson was excellent but the clutch throws that Rodgers made under pressure to win the game is why a team pays big bucks for a QB. It shouldn't be for durability or because he tries hard - both Blake Bortles and Tim Tebow tick those boxes but weren't worth the big money.

The offense we have on paper next season is amazing really, partly thanks to most guys accepting team friendly contracts e.g. the oline including Collins who could have waited and been paid a load more elsewhere especially when you see what Trent Brown is on at the Raiders.

As a result the defence will be lacking especially in the secondary - couldn't afford to pay our All Pro CB given we are paying over $31 million to the QB guaranteed money next season. So we will likely need to win some shoot outs next season.

I don't want to hear of excuses because the defense gave up too many points - what do you expect given the amount of investment pumped into the offense.

Prescott is in the 4-6/10 range. Middle of the pack.

hes ranked 6-12 as a starter qb so theres where he is i like Lamar but there a gap between Lamar and Mahomes IMHO.. Wilson is better then Jackson, MVP should have went to Mahomes again but Jacksons got it becomes Mahomes got hurt..as talented as LJ is i take Mahomes, Wilson, Rogers, and Watson over him if im building a team..

Daks a 6-7 in that kind of scale..

If Mahoney is a 10, Russell is a 9.

Lamar, Rodgers, Brees, Wentz are 8’s, guys who will can carry teams to win reliably, but playoff success is either absent or way in the rear view mirror (brees has been to Only 2 NFCCGs since 2008. How is that even possible)

Dak, Deshaun, unknown Brady are the 7’s, quality franchise QBs who can do well if the team is stacked around them. Obviously Brady used to be much higher, and maybe he’s still an 8-9, we’ll have to see

6’s are Tannehill, Carr, Smith, Cousins.... guys who can make the playoffs routinely with a really good team. Maybe/maybe not franchise material but are great stopgaps for extended periods

Fitzpatrick/Trubisky type is probably a 5, can get a good team to 8-8

Colt McCoy/Mark Sanchez type is a 4, can win a few as a backup but can look bad too.

3 you’d have guys who are barely hanging on in the NFL, like that guy we drafted who’s on your PS...? Thorson or something?

2 is a guy who can’t make the NFL. Maybe he was good in college, but he’s a plumber now.

And then 1 is JaMarcus.

Probably more like 6- 7 talent wise. Statistically higher.
