Just yesterday people were blasting JG for saying he was happy with his guys in the locker room. Now Mike Mc saying same thing and people are slobbering over him...lol

What's he supposed to say? His guys in the back half are absolute garbage? They look like the Normangee Middle School B Team back there? Good luck enjoying any of the games guys, because we a re so screwed?

So true.
With this in mind, I can't figure out why the head coach who hand picked his entire staff and ran the entire draft and has been given complete control of all personnel and staff decisions would be saying that he would be okay with a prospective player joining HIS team regardless of if he agreed with bringing that player in or not.

I mean it just makes total sense and fully supports all the statements that I have laid out here. It truly does.

Sooooo...

Is full authority regarding personnel matters a cherry picked game of who's in charge or is there one central figure calling ALL the shots as the fans have been led to believe?

Who makes personnel decisions?

Maybe, just maybe, the HC gave his graces to the GM(s) on whether or not he was cool with ET joining, therefore letting the GM do his job as far as acquisition and contract lingo.

I don't know. That's how I was reading the conversation.

IMHO you guys should avoid at all costs. Hearing things out of Baltimore he was late for team meetings because he had to get his car washed. Something either changed in him (possible CTE issues?.) or Seattle did a good job of hiding things when he was here. This isn’t a “coaching can keep him in line” situation. He’s already worn out his welcome with 2 Super Bowl winning coaches.

Let him go to SF and blow up that team from the inside. :)

That would make sense to me too but how I read in the wording of no matter what Jerry or Stephen decided he would be okay with kinda threw me off.
Might be simple semantics of word choice or poor reading comprehension on my part.

Either way,

Go Cowboys

It's incredibly easy to misconstrue word of mouth, so no worries.

And you're absolutely right, Go Cowboys!!

But then there is that past situation where Garrett, as head coach, was not okay with the Hardy signing.
So I hope McCarthy is not against this signing behind closed doors yet publicly toeing the company line.

Hope not.

Go Cowboys

I don't know the full situation but I do know there are 2 sides of a story. ET has been in the league a long time and has never had issues such as this before. As for coming to Dallas I think McCarthy should have a big say in that.

Garrett is not McCarthy. Garrett had to be a puppet because he had no clue what he was doing. He was a head coach in training our own owners words. McCarthy has a Lombardi. Far from needing help.

I think a big difference is that they actually went outside the building and brought in guys who at least at one point in their careers played at a pro bowl level....ha ha, McCoy, Smith, dontari Poe. So whether it pans out that they play at a Hight level or not Remains to be seen.

the difference is we would hear we like our guys about guys we knew were never gonna perform to the level that JG and staff thought they could coach them up to.

But if the Cowboys weren't interested all they would have to do is tell the local beat writers that they have zero interest. Like the Texans did.

+100.........Not hard to shut it down
Just me, but I think there's interest by both he and the Cowboys. Whether or not it's a good fit is another question. One thing for sure, if Ha Ha is playing with 2nd team as reported, we need a safety real bad.

This is what I meant earlier about the new staff not needing to deal with this.

of course there is interest...but depends on the price and the baggage....jerry has to be comfortable with the price and mm has to be comfortable with the baggage...

Not sure it’s gonna work out....it’s probably a 5050 chance

Pete Carroll summed it up best. It is really bad when the team sends a player home.

Only way I would accept him here is at vet min. First off the field screwup and he is gone.
