Two years ago the Cowboys starting WR’s were Allen Hurns, Cole Beasley and Deonte Thompson

Remember vividly. The Dak haters telling how Dak should take us to the SB with those pass catchers. I remember simply telling them that all QB's need someone to throw to and that was all that was lacking. In comes Cooper and the team goes 7-1 down the stretch to make the playoffs.

Amazing we went 10-6 that year with those kind of receivers. Those receivers weren't just bad, they're TERRIBLE. Below an average college football team. :muttley:

We would've easily gone 13-3 if we started with better receivers. And the offensive line doesn't give up 59 sacks for the year. We gave up 7 sacks against New Orleans and Dak still won the game. :lmao:

We would've gotten those games against Seattle, Houston, and Washington back, and probably would've beaten Carolina too.

And the Oline was in shambles that year. Something like 58 sacks total given up. And Zeke ran for something like 6 rushing TD's that year.

Someone has forgotten our star wr, Terence Williams. Awww....memories. I still remember that one toe-tapping catch when he had to reach high, and he actually used his hands!

Sad, but when I think of him all I can think about is his toe tapping scooter crash.

We went after sammy watkins. He spurned us. Dez put us in a most unenviable position. We brought in brice butler and tavon austin. And finally the deal for cooper. Since then, gallup and lambo added to the mix. The speed with which Stephen and mcclay corrected the wr deficiency speaks to their effectiveness, not the opposite.

Beasley used to murder that slot. Was my pet cat too as an UDFA.

The FO did a fantastic job revamping and improving our WR corps. It's popular to clown on JJ and the boys, but the last few years we've been ran very well. Of course I'd have preferred a coaching change sooner, however from a team building standpoint its hard to argue with our talent.

I give them credit for digging the hole in the first place.

- team cut dez..and took for granted they could sign FA sammy watkins who decided KC Chiefs over dallas..that was a blow..
Twill got DUI issues and broke his leg at that , problem added was team for whatever reason decided to resign him so the wait on to finally cut him per cap casualty.

- then comes the WR by committee plan. Gallup was so raw his rookie year...hurns was more an oft-injured slot who struggles outside.
deontre thompson was a speedster bust who never displayed any speed..just not a natural receiver at all..

- only left beasley ,,only one who could consistently separate but yet limited to underneath area,.which made it easy for defenses to "bracket" cover him.
LB underneath DB over the top...

Dak had a passer rating of 96.9 with 22 TD’s and only 8 int’s. Cooper came in after game 7 which helped but Dak balled that year with nothing for most of the year.

And that same front office traded for Cooper drafted Gallup and Lamb sooooooo! Lol
Yep. We should only give them credit when they do something good. Even if it was a correction of something they were obviously dead wrong about.

Let's pretend they have never made mistakes.

Remember the Super Bowl we just won in 1995? Sweet!

Nope, need 3 of thm.
Well, we absolutely have 3 of them now.

This group is elite and I'm here for it. I would hate to have to game plan against this WR group. If I was a DB coach, I'd be looking at the D Line coach and telling him his guys better get some pressure on Dak.

Pick your poison.
