Who is your most underrated Cowboy player from the 90's?

CB Kevin Smith

He had Jerry Rice's number, would talk smack to him walking out of the tunnel, then throw him around like a rag doll on the field.

Didn't make the pro Bowl once, a complete travesty. In his first complete season as a starter, his second, he had 6 INT's and 3 forced fumbles. He started in two Super Bowls and was a shutdown corner. In the 1993 Super Bowl season he and Larry Brown were the youngest CB tandem in the league.

Originally, in 1995, Deion and Kevin were supposed to be the starters but Kevin tore a ligament and was out after game #1.

Jimmy actually cut Walls but I meant Jerry was giving Walls the Jimmy treatment by not inducting him into ROH.

I meant Walls never played for Jimmy but you're right, Jimmy did cut him and Walls then went elsewhere to win a SB.

I think Jerry has definitely overlooked Walls in the past. I still think he'll be in the RoH soon.

Chad Hennings was great too. Always a solid run stuffer. But when we needed a big play from the otherside of Haley, Tolbert came threw. Very underrated....gets forgotten. I think if I had to rate my most underrated from the 90's cowboys it would be Tolbert,James Washington,Kevin Smith and then Bill Bates. Ole Bill did it all. Special teams, played safety, played some linebacker. Very deserving of the rings he finally got in the 90's. He and Witten should have been brothers lol...altho they did play at the same college.

Can't speak for the 90s so I have to break the rules a bit...

I think Terence Newman is the most underrated Cowboy since 2000. He was really good and I don't feel ever got enough praise...is easily the best Cowboys DB of the 21st century.

I'd go so far as to put him as the second best Cowboys defensive player since 2000 (after Ware, of course)

People forget about that trade for Everett that shored up the secondary in 1992. Haley made a huge difference. But Everett filled a gaping hole we had going into the season too. People forget Woody didn’t start in 1992. He played but didn’t start. The safeties might have been Holt and Everett.

I think Holt was a CB, Safety James Washington was a playoff playmaker.
