Free agents have to test negative for 2 straight day before allowed to meet with teams so the 48 hour report makes sense but isn’t it right about now that someone else reports the exact opposite? I give it another hour before some team official or reports refutes this.

If they bring in ET and he is a full blown a****** to his teammates, they just cut him. No big deal.

He doesnt have to punch Xavier Woods in the face (although I'd be ok w that) to be released. The contract MUST be that way or no deal. I'm against it otherwise.

He has tens of millions at stake. Almost anyone can hold it together for that on a second shot when you know for sure it's gone unless.

Do we want this toxic and problematic ****** in our team?

Yes!

I’m being an optimist with this situation. I think Dallas is where he wanted to be all along and he will act accordingly. I don’t think he was happy in Balt and let it affect him. Hopefully that won’t happen in Dallas.

As long as this is MM’s call I am fine with it. But if it is Jerry meddling and forcing it on him than hell no
I totally second this.. but chances are that JJ will impose his will in the end on these matters

No misinformation from me. You have me confused with a few of the others, and yourself, perhaps.

What exactly about my post was misinformation? It was 100% factual. He admits he doesn't know. It's right there for everyone, INCLUDING YOU, to read. It's his own freaking words.

He’s reporting that his sources are indicating the two parties are going to meet. Because he can’t provide you the time and place and what they’ll have for appetizers you think it’s shoddy reporting.

What are you failing to compute?

honestly he’s reporting he heard they were gonna meet....and without details and confirmation I think it’s fair to challenge the accuracy of the reporting

What would anyone be challenging though? He’s reporting what his sources have informed which is that the two parties plan on meeting (and he’s followed up with stronger worded tweets expressing that same thing). It would be different if he was making inferences to something more.

What he hasn’t said is “Thomas will be signed in the next 48 hours or even that the Cowboys plan to make an offer.”

He is stated something as a fact, and then backtracked and said it's what he believes, or what he's heard.

It's not me that's failing to compute.

It's perfect.. If he wants in the league he will know he has to walk a fine line.

The guy was in the league for so long and we never heard a peep until he told Garrett come get me.. It's been kind of down hill from there for him.

Adding Earl to this team is huge and people thinking a 31 year old HOF safety is washed up is a joke. He's probably got 4 quality years left in him as most guys with his pedigree do.

Ed Reed, a similar player, played well into his 30's and we didn't see a real dip until Houston picked him up at age 35 or 36.
Yeah, but Earl is no Ed Reed.

That’s fine but his tweets are somewhat nebulous in what his sources are hence the skepticism....as with most I’ll hold off on believing until formal confirmation....loose statements on Twitter are exactly what they are

He doesn't have tens of millions at stake. He might have a couple of million at stake this year but even then, long gone are the days he will be able to sign some big contract like he got with Baltimore.

And your last paragraph is hilarious considering all the NFL players who while staring at a chance to make millions and millions and cement themselves as great NFL players do stupid **** that gets them suspended or outcast in the league - Gregory, Gordon, etc.

i think that's why dallas would prefer after week 1 because then he is paid week to week. if he signs before week 1, he is guaranteed the vet minimum for the season (roughly 1 mil)
