Have you watched the interview show about the making of the first season. LMAO, they cuss more on that than in the series, including the woman doing the interview, she even adds Carlin's 7 words you can't say on TV. That was the damnedest making of show I've seen.

Haha yeah that is why the show is a classic. Such epic casting and chemistry amongst everyone involved. Only one show could inspire a new avatar for me lol.

No, but I'll watch it now. A woman like that... something tells me I'm about to fall in love.

Started watching Chef's Table: BBQ last night and the first one is about the #1 BBQ rated by Texas Monthly, Snow's, and their Pitmaster, 85 year old Tootsie Tomanetz, and it was not quite what I expected as most cooking shows give you a little about the artist and a lot about the food and this is the reverse of that. I recommend this to anyone, doesn't matter whether you like BBQ or even cooking, it's about a woman as strong as the oak she uses in her pits.

My oldest son made the trip to Snow's at 6am one Saturday and there were already 100 people in line and none complaining. He said the brisket was not up to Franklin's or Mueller's but the other cuts like the pork ribs were better than any in Austin. He recommended the trip for anyone within reasonable distance, if they are truly into Q.

Some of these cooking shows are really more about the people and their resolve and resiliency to do what they feel they were meant to do, particularly the ones in Asia and Central and South America.

Those people that fascinate us, motivate us, touch us and inspire us, their stories are out there, we just have to look for them. The aholes get served up to us on a daily basis, it is up to us to find the counter to that and they're there if we just look for them.

Watch this episode and tell me what you were thinking watching that 85 year old lady shoveling hot coals at 1am on Saturday morning after hugging the kids at the school where she is the custodian the day before.

Really like "Raised By Wolves" so far. Ridley Scott directs the first two episodes and serves as exec producer. It's cool seeing Travis Fimmel, but I keep thinking why is Ragnar Lothbrok in a sci-fi?

I will say watching the second episode of Lovecraft Country, the special effects has been hot and cold. The scene with the snake in the bedroom was horrible; looked like something out of the late 90s.
I somewhat agree. Special effects quality may be related to budget. It did rebound in episode three I think.

Episode four is a must see. I am not sure how I feel about Montrose yet.

HBO has included some DC Universe content as original programming with its Max streaming service. Finished season one of Doom Patrol. 15 episodes. Started on season two that has nine out so far.

The show is less usual comic book adaptation and more in-depth reflection of all the characters. The actress playing Jane has done a very good job portraying a character with 64 distinct split personalities, many whom have their own metahuman ability.

Sounds interesting. Shame I cancelled HBO after GoT ended.

Eventually all of the content will be shifted from the DCU app to HBOMax.

Jane is a great character and Diane Guerro does an excellent job in her portrayal. It is a crazy show. Quirky and fun.

I am still waiting for HBO to come to terms with Roku so I can take MAX for a test drive.

I found a workaround to side load HBOMax on my Amazon Firestick since they too had not come to terms. I wonder if something similar isn't available for Roku. There is always screen mirroring or plugging the phone into your TV.

Bold> I hope so. I am a huge fan of DCU's Titans series. It will be more convenient for me seeing all the series on HBOMax.

Away...not sure if I will continue or not. I guess I could continue and basically fast forward through the boring earth parts.

Freaks, you're one of us - meh. not terrible but nothing great either. Foreign movie with people that find out they have superpowers that were being supressed.

Loved it, and the second episode with Lennox Hastie is even better. I was familiar with Hastie from his time at Asador Etxebarri but I didn't know he'd left and opened his own place. Really an amazing artist with fire and food.
