Has this article been retracted or even questioned by anyone with a scientific background?

No.

Find a legit criticism of the research and get back to me.

You realize this study was basically a "We didn't like poo poo pee pee results of the Washington Post results, so we did our own polling and wrapped in different verbiage to seem more scientifically accurate!"

https://www.washingtonian.com/2020/...ow-native-americans-view-the-Commanders-name/

They also seem to be making their agenda quite known (this alone hurts the "study")

Scientifically conducted research submitted to peer review vs. Unscientific newspaper poll.

Your interpretation is a great example of why our nation is failing.

You're not actually making an argument, what you are using is a fallacy. There is a reason all you're going with here is "PEER REVIEWED BRO!". Seems like some projection.

Either way, glad I was here to help call you out.

Peer review is the standard for scientific evidence whether it fits your narrative or not

It will be replaced by people tuning out and finding other forms of entertainment to replace it with. Anyone still watching sportsball right now are suckers.

That was said about the integration of football. Guess what? It's still here.

I guarantee to you he thought the Washington Post was legit and hung his hat on it. Since it’s been discredited he’s now all “meh, peer review, schmear review....what’s the difference?!?!”

If anyone is willing to tune out over a change in a team's name or something like banning headdresses, I would have to wonder why they were watching in the first place.

That is a good question.
Part of the problem is the media fuels all this PC stuff, and that is partly for ratings, and partly for who works in the media.
Hollywood also fuels PC stuff and other issues.
Tv shows fuels PC stuff and other issues.
Now it is out of control, and to the point a sports team had to change the name they had for almost 100 years, and it really wasnt offensive.

The Chiefs are now doing damage control so they dont have to change their name lol.

I used to think it was media as well. Then I tuned into twitter and FB..........its so much worse. The millenial generation getting their news and information from these sources is a real problem. Literally, Lebron James and his high school education have more news clout than any TV or radio personality. His opinions and points of view are blasted out to over 47 million followers every time he has something to say.

Absurd. The team is named the Chiefs to glorify Indians not disparage them. Its like white guys being offended by the name Cowboys or Patriots. Its a badge of honor not an insult.

Read the article genius. The Chiefs are banning the headdress at the stadium, not changing the team name. So please prepare your “why can’t we dress like Indians anymore?!?!?!” lament ready.

I find it ironic when I see several native American high schools whose team names are things like the Commanders and when parents and student voted on a name change they wanted to keep the name Commanders. Such as Wellpinit high school who do not find it offensive despite the fact it is a majority native American.

As a Native and in a somewhat of a culture circle, I've heard nothing but acceptance from Native people. Of course, I don't associate with snowflakes on purpose so... Most feel it's kind of cool to have your symbol respected. It's a prideful thing. But, as most know it doesn't take sense or logic to ban anything these days. And the ones that are outraged the most aren't even the people who represent the culture.

Because most don't find it remotely offensive.

there is a cancer spreading, it has nothing to do with just one thing. I'll never understand people that think narrowly like this. Not saying you are, but the argument was very poor.

a country embracing all cultures, but too many out there think only a certain group should be wearing only panchos & sombreros, while the other wears only shirts and shorts in africa, while the other group wears bamboo hats, etc..

There is a word for other countries that control how people live, if we're to say YOU CAN'T WEAR SUCH AND SUCH are you saying we're only to wear whatever the hell our original ancestors wore? Who determines this? Wokeflakes?

Why is representing a team a bad thing, especially when there's nothing derogatory about the team? Guess we'll eventually all live life like Equilibrium. Have fun with that.
