I don't wanna make too much of this but the implication ( alphas in the room that was to lead ) makes me pause a bit. Something I would hope tank and all the players understand, you don't manufacture leadership. Not sure what Tanks means but he's probably better off letting his game do his talking. We've talked about all the new talent and potential on the DL and that's great. But there are a lot of personalities in that room that's used to being on top. One thing for sure, they can all the talent in the world but they can't play as a unit/team it won't matter. Lucky for us, MM is exactly the kind of coach we need to keep them in check IMO.

"Just especially dealing with all the aggression & different types of alphas in the room that want to lead, it's really all about...maintaining the calmness in the room."

With all the alpha men on the D-Line alone if we play bad or lose someone will likely call others out. We will see how some like to be held accountable. JG used to talk about it but I don’t think players actually did it. Remember bennett lit up after a loss. We have 3 or 4 D-Linemen that are alphas and they are big time players and it’s there first year on this team. Culture is going to change so let’s see how some of these players that’s been here a while like it.

Imagine a guy that only played 60% of the snaps last year and constantly came out of the game on 3rd downs after getting a $100m deal is really talking about being a leader lol. What a joke
He may have lost his alpha status unless he starts showing up. No more shoulder still healing excuse. Aldon and Poe and Griffin aren’t taco and mailk collins.

Did he really only play 60% of defensive snaps? I never heard that. Can you list your source? Also never saw him constantly come out on third. The team exhcnaged linemen in waves. It was rarely one guy taking himself out. He's also remained one of the top defensive linemen in the game since signing that deal. He's not a sack artist and never will be, but he's a dominating presence on the line regardless.

Aldon hasn't played a snap in years and Poe can't stay healthy. Griffen is a legitimate stud, but Poe and Smith have absolutely nothing on Tank. The level at which this forum downplays Tank, versus how pretty much everyone in the game sees him, is embarrassing.

I view him the same as dware. Unless you take over important games and win them you're a jag.

He needs to show me. He has a great chance to get back to his level. Tank plays the run awesome. He will get a lot of 1 on 1 this year and it’s time to turn it up.

Sucks that we may only be able to keep 1 for a longer deal after this year. We have Poe for 2 years I think. McCoy was 3 but we cut him. Lol. Aldon and Griffin have a decent year then they aren’t signing with us for peanuts again.

good they need some alpha dogs in the locker room who wont accept losing and poor effort

michael bennett tried but he was probably out numbered by the cupcakes
Yeah he was in no hurry to come back. Wasn’t the game he went off in the locker room the same one JJ came out of the room crying.

Constantly came out on 3rd downs i used to be screaming at the TV. Hence my disdain for bumanelli.

He is a top tier d lineman and the reason he had poor production is because he wasnt on the field. Just to put it in perspective, JJ Watt played more snaps his first game back from a pec tear.
