And why wasn't Collins out there? O yeah, I just remembered, he got injured in camp because he came to camp out of shape. Great team mate. Collins not being there cost us the win IMO. Collins and MM going for it on 4th down and not tying it was the reasons we lost. I wonder is Collins cares at all.
We've gotten a lot out of Collins for being a UDFA on a team friendly deal. You can't win them all especially when you've been out coached in the trenches.

Dallas could've still won the game without him.

We have the best WR core in the league and Dak cant even average 7 ypa

Truly frustrating.

And yeah, I get it, the OL was shoddy at times, but how about some slants that were working earlier?

Instead, with 2:30 to go, we are running 5 yard digs and outs with Cooper and Gallup (until the bomb) that netted us like 20 yards total and used up over a minute of game clock at the end.

I don't care who you want to blame - Dak, Moore, whomever - it's unacceptable.

Someone needs to explain to me why we even bring Cooper to road games. At this point it seems like a wasted roster spot. When Gallup basically makes the play of the game, or would have if the refs don't screw up, and Cooper drops a huge 4th qtr pass to keep a drive alive, it just makes you sick.

My take away from this game is if our players want to set the market value in salaries for their positions then they have to come up big in crunch time. Coop has to catch the ball, DLaw has to be a factor, Jaylon has to do something (even tho his contract is not bad), Dak has to generate more than 3 points in a half, Zeke has to stay in the game.

Actually I'm throwing Zeke and Dak in there cuz of their past contract stuff. Tonight I feel Dak played the best he could with the time he had, Zeke played very well. Coop I am disgusted with. Lamb played like a rookie. DLaw and Coop are pretty much non-factors on the road or when going against quality players. If you want to be the most paid at your position or in the top 5 at your position you have to give top five results. DLaw sucked tonight and continued were he left off last year with his suckage. Coop continued his fantastic streak of being a non factor on the road. Coop and DLaw stole money tonight.

In fairness, that's a really tough catch to make when you get hit at basically the same time as the ball gets there.

I agree that we have got a good deal from Collins. I am just frustrated with him that he came to camp out of shape and it cost the whole team. When Collins is in shape and in the game we have a bargain and an asset, no arguing there. But I'm just disappointed he came to camp out of shape, by doing that he let us down. I hope he gets it together cuz we need him, desperately need him.

True, but 20 million a year, you make the tough catches. Their 20 million a year guy, Ramsey, beat our 20 million a year guy, Cooper. And Cooper seems to get beat by much less CB's when on the road. No arguing it was a touch catch but that's what should separate a 20 million a year guy from a 7 million a year guy. the touch catches in the 4th qtr to keep the drives alive. I totally get your point and respect it but if Cooper doesn't have a habit of not delivering on the road I don't make that post. But this is a pattern and it sucks. My post if more about his road woes. It's infuriating when the ball is in the air and you hope it's going to Gallup because you don't trust cooper cuz we're not in Dallas.

I put most of the offensive issues on the coaches. How many times was Dak stuck in 3rd and long because we ran the ball for no gain on first and sometimes second down? How many times did Dak roll out? How many times did we use play action pass on first down? How many screen passes did we call? There are lots of ways to deal with pressure. Having Dak drop back to the same spot time after time on 3rd and long isn't it. Garrett left but the awful offensive game planning remains.

Are we trying to WC?

The short throws were most annoying on the final drive.

We're starting on our 10 with 2:30. Throw two short passes and use up the 30 seconds and the 2 minute warning. Just not gonna get it done.

Then we *kept* throwing short.

Would have been better off just clearing out a side short and letting Dak run.

DURRRR WHAT DO PASS PROTECTION MEAN!?!?

Undrafted rookie RT was dominant tonight, right!?!?

Terrible thread, terrible poster. Par for the course.

Steele gave up a sack. He didn't look like a big problem tonight.

I don't understand the dink and dunk approach to much of the Cowboys offense tonight.

All night I kept screaming for them to throw the ball down the field.

i do ....
Looks like Dak cannot step up or take deeper drops with longer time developing pass routes, ..he's having to quickly get rid of ball underneath per swing, dump off, 7-8 WR sets ..Injuries and struggling vet (Williams) and fringe rookie Terence Steele crippled the effectiveness of this offense ..

Same here. We should've at least thrown a deep pass every now and then to keep the Rams' defense honest.

My bar is so low on tackle.....I was just glad we didn't get a Falcons debacle but that was brutal especially first game of the season.

Next game: The Falcons. That has potential to be beyond brutal to our defense. Julio Jones. Calvin Ridley, Russell Gage. When Matt Ryan look at our film...

So we knew Dak was getting pressure up front and they don’t call some roll outs? Bootlegs? Play calling sucked with what the Rams were throwing at them. I thought Garrett was gone! It’s the same BS.
