I think for that one. Yes, while technically a rule, it didn’t really affect the play. It’s one of those QB rules that were created for the pampered QBs. With the PI, it was an incredible play negated.
Didn’t effect the play?! Are your referring to the play that resulted in an INT instead of what would have been a first down?

Ook, there is nw doubt that Gallup created separation by extending his armand pushing off...slightly.
The problem is that those guys were battling the whole way and that call often isnt made at that point in the game.

Ramsey is making contact too. This is why this play is never called a penalty..the rule says no contact by DB after 5yards. How can you call a push off on Gallup when Ramsey is laying his arm over Gallup's for 20 yards? You can't and they don't.... It was a BS call

You should know they weren’t going to let us win in the Rams opener at their new stadium

It was a crap call. Ramsey is arguably the most physical corner in the game. That happens on 100% of passes thrown his way. You can’t call that when you don’t call that all game. Simple as that

That's what I thought too. If it was just Gallup reaching out and pushing him, yeah, clearly a penalty. But they were arm battling eachother. They never call a penalty on both, so they usually don't call it.

Despite the refs comments, a play like that will go uncalled 19 out of 20 times this season.

Yes. The hand up affected the play.

the hit on the helmet after the throw doesn’t affect the play. It’s like roughing the kicker. I get it that it is the rule. But does not actually affect the play that happens before it happened.

It is easy to cry about the refs and make excuses. It is much harder to work hard, prepare better, play smarter and put yourself in positions to be the team that gets the calls.

What did he say about not calling hands to the face of Goff or roughing the passer that directly resulted in an INT for us and led to points? Did they bring up the non call holding against Donald about 3 plays after that?
Oh looky...that "I am so objective "fan"" shows up.

That missed hands to the face call didn't determine that outcome of the game.

I can’t stand a lot of the rules, it’s part of the reason I don’t enjoy the game like I used to but it was a clear flag unlike the offensive PI where Gallup did creat separation and it was 50/50 at best. I’m listening to DFW local radio right now and even they all agree that the offensive PI wasn’t a bad call.

My gripe is consistency. That play is not called OPI 19 out of 20 times. Game on the line and they make the call.

A few clear pick plays by the Rams and no OPIs called. They had what? 2 penalties all game?

Clear flag under the rules.

Was not the reason for the INT. That was my only point.

Poster was arguing it impacted the play. The impact of course would have been if it reversed the INT. But it didn’t cause the INT.

You’re right, Consistency has always been an issue but the official said they make that call 100 times out of 100. The local DFW guys called it as a penalty before they even threw the flag.

The game is always on the line, would it have not changed the game if that happened in the 3rd quarter instead? Of course it would have, we would have been up by 4 points.

What makes this annoying is that Dak would have made the big play in the 4th quarter to possibly change the outcome of the game, but because of this call then his critics are going to be like "Dak get get it done." When Dak has no blame in the Refs deciding to call that flag on Gallup after the big play.

A call like that within 2 minutes should be under review. OH well... Sadly, because I was bartending thats about the only bit of the game I got to see. :(

The quote indicates they weren’t gonna overturn it.

Yeah yeah. Bad call. Can we talk about Fat Mike being an idiot and not taking the points down 3 on the road? That might have cost us the game as well.
