With the cap dollars and resources that were put into the offense, I don't think that 21 points a game is a lot to ask.

The defense looks hideous, but in the end the offense let us down. Another very winnable game that they managed to not.

Get stops on 3rd down.

no I have two jobs in life. That is my first apparently.

My second is teaching you about the game. Like I keep telling you. Keep reading my posts and you will learn something. Its a long season by the end of it you might learn a whole bunch.

My own opinion I felt defense played poorly in the 1st half but adjusted in the 2nd half and played better ball. Most of the Rams passing plays early on were short passes off misdirection play action. Cowboys struggled with it early on but 2nd half those plays were not working near as well. A lot of work ahead for the defense especially on run defense, Rams were able to control the clock which limited our possession on offense.

It was a typical cowboys game. We lost due to undisciplined play with 7 penalties. And the offense was bad on 3rd down. And its not a cowboys game without a few key drops.

All fair....and frustrating.

OMG! The defense was not fine just because the Rams didn’t score more! They were garbage! Couldn’t stop 2 yard passes from gouging them for big yardage, poor tackling, poor on 3rd and 4th Downs. Couldn’t force punts and the DL was pushed off the ball most of the night.

They weren't slow developing - the Rams gave the short stuff all night, and the Cowboys took it. With the OL getting beat like it did, they were as efficient as they can be. I'm surprised they weren't more aggressive down the field, but it's not like the preference is going to be to dink and dunk all year.

Have to agree with you. Still looks like our high powered offense can't score enough points to win games. TightEnd position looks scary as hell now. Was it Shultz that dropped two must have passes? Let's get OLD man witten back!

They did better as the game went on. Safety position was basically nonexistent (although i would have to watch all-22 to be 100% sure) The blitzing was wreaking havoc i just dont think they did it enough. Pretty much what i saw last night, was the same defense thats been here except for the DE's were standing up. Poe .... well i can see why he has changed teams so many times. But hey, we got a big fat guy in the middle of the line that everyone has been screaming for.
