Same old same old. Run Zeke into the line on 1st and 2nd to set up 3rd downs...with a undrafted rookie starting at RT to try and protect the qb. Was a set up for failure.
This stat from Warren Sharp is extremely telling and how someone on our coaching staff can’t recognize it is crazy.

Good point.

Pretty much nailed it for me. And although I love the lamb pick, this is the result when you keep using picks on offense instead of defense. And Zeke ran all over them yesterday, but it means nothing if you cant stop the other team.

honestly, with this type of defense we do need a mahomes just to do anything.

It's stupid...I just don't know what else to say.

Oh hes responsible for that? Shame i thought this was a team sport. I see what youre doing. Careful. Your agenda is showing. I forgot hes not responsible when we win only when we lose.
The irony of your post hahaha. Wow, go back and read what you wrote and what he replied to slowly until it dawns on you.....

In fairness to all of us, there was really no way to see this coming.

Hmmmm... the 4th and 3 was a huge blunder.... Tie the game coach. The refs are the reason dallas lost. OPI? Refs still screwing dallas.

Uh...that shows we were extremely successful on 1st down, no matter what we were doing.

And over 40% passing on first down is quite a lot.

If you’re 11-12 and getting 11 yards per play you should do it more than 40%. Not that complicated.

And no, passing on 1st down 40% is not a lot. Only if you’re stuck in the 90’s. Aside from Baltimore, who are in the extreme for all running categories, most good offenses are in the 25% range for running on 1st.

LA looked average to me. I wouldn't say they called a great game.

Different HC, same bad coaching decisions, same results.

I guess MM is not familiar with the old quote, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result."

The only thing to really complain about was not being more aggressive downfield. It's not like Dallas struggled to move the ball.

I chalk that up to lack of creativity on the offensive play calling. mcVay schooled MM/Moore. When you have a challenged OL you need to do misdirection, PA, screens RP, roll-outs, multiple motions... Etc. To slow down the defense and make them a little hesitant

I am not ready to toss the coaching staff in the fire. Nolan was a dubious choice and last night was not inspiring. I think McVey had a great game plan to eliminate Dallas’s pass rush. Guy is a very good coach. Dallas was terrible on third downs. Tacking was terrible especially in the first half. The Rams offensive game plan was set up to challenge the LBs. 54 was terrible, again. Shultz has a few bad drops. Loss can be chalked up to McVey’s greatness, a missed kick, a bad 4th down call, poor tackling, and a bad OPI call. I think you have to give these coaches time.

Nolan stinks.

No Dak wasn't the reason we lost, he played his usual bus driver role. But Dak isn't the guy who you can lean on to win the game by driving you down the field. It's not a personal slight against Dak - he is what he is.

Disagree. Kellen Moore's run 1st playcalling is the problem.

To me McCarthy looked like a scam.

I never bought into his analytics crap.

These older coaches that have done things their way for so long will always go back to what they know. It's just how it is.

The problem here though is Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre are not walking through that door to play QB here.

Sean McVay has a garbage QB and he can make him look good by simply calling and offense that has the defense completely on their heels.

McCarthy even admitted that he was saying things just to get hired and he really didn't watch all of what he said he did.

The problem with the NFL is that it's a good ole boys league and Dallas chose McCarthy to get one of their good ole boys back in football. I hope it works out for us but he did nothing to change my mind as of now.

And please.. Don't be the fan who says that these coaches know so much more than we do. BS..

Football is football and once you learn it you can certainly question these guys who do moronic stuff like not kicking a field goal on 4th and 3 to tie the game late.

Totally Agree. But it’s only one game and the first game of the COVID season, Big Mac hands are tied with lack of preseason, & training camp.... I will give him a few more games to show he is worthy. But nevertheless he is way better than the Jason Garrett.

Maybe, but to me it shows that McCarthy didn't have any confidence in the defense make a stop and felt like they needed a TD there to win it.

Outcoached? It was a 3 point win and the Cowboys made the needed adjustments. What they failed to do was execute. Can't blame the coaching staff for lack of execution especially by the offense.

Scoring 17 points is not making the necessary adjustments. The defense adjusted. The offense kept trying to execute a game plan that wasn't specifically geared toward the Rams in the same way the Rams' was geared toward us.

I don't see any reason to feel good about what we did on offense. No creativity, just like the past few years.

Listen closely people. Moore is an INEXPERIENCED offensive coordinator who was just handed the job by the great GM Jerry Jones. He didn't earn it, just as Garrett didn't earn the HC Job. If MM want's to survive here, he NEEDS TO TAKE OVER PLAY CALLING ASAP.
