Other than Diggs and maybe Aldon and Gregory is anyone else worth keeping? I understand the salary cap won’t allow us to flush the whole thing but I wish we could.

Dlaw- overrated and overpaid
Crawford- finally out the door
Poe/Woods- both awful and out the door
Hill- still a chance
Griffin- on a one year deal
LVE- needs to retire
Jaylon- just ugh. No business being an off ball LB. He’s either a pure 3-4 rush LB or nothing
Chido- the new almost Anthony
Woods- every year we get told this is his breakout and it never happens
Thompson- enough said
Brown- average at very best
Lewis- won’t be back.

yikes. Complete trash.

When did Aldon and Gregory become worth keeping? Gregory hasn't done a thing in about 5 years and he gets the benefit of the doubt. Also, it's funny how the only guys worth keeping are the ones who haven't proved their worth (or lack of) yet. You look at a shutdown corner like Byron Jones and he was never considered worth keeping. Now, the only guy worth keeping is someone with the potential to be as good as someone we already had.

The only player I'm excited about on defense would be A. Smith.

The rest I wouldnt care if we dumped the entire defense

Aldon was the lone bright spot on the defense last night and everything else is so bad that all we can look forward to is Gregory returning

I get that we lost, but you should at least try to be rational in you’re end of the world threads...the D gave up 20 points. That’s more than good enough to win. Dumping the entire D after a solid outing makes literally 0 sense

rams receivers don’t drop a bunch of passes the score is a lot worse than it was.

They also don't realize mcvey if tied or down goes for it when it was 4th & 1 at midfield instead of punting. And the way our defense played last night it would have been a 100% conversion.

That outing was anything but solid. Solid outings don't have the opposing RBs run all over you. How many times did we give them free 5 yards for neutral zone infractions. I did not see any adjustments after the first half either. They could have dumped screen passes all night and still come out on top. I am still optimistic that they can turn things around. It was the first game with no preseason games to iron the kinks out. However the injury to LVE is not good and Lee is fragile as well. We need more help on this defense to turn things around. There is hope, but last night's outing was no where close to being called solid.

The Cowboys had 4-5 drops too...This was far worse than any Rams drop, given where it happene.d.

And if the call against Gallup goes the other way Dallas could win the game outright.

See how easy the what if game goes.

Fact of the matter was the defense allowed 20 points. In the 2nd half seven points. They did more than their job to give the offense a chance to win game. But it didn't happen.

The defense didn't play to perfection as the kool-aid drinkers wanted. But in the real world, they played good enough to win the game.

Our entire front 7 is mediocre garbage and has been for a long time. Randy Gregory? Who's that? Oh, right the guy who has played in what maybe 20 games since 2015 out of 86 possible games. He's also the one who committed 15-yard personal foul penalties at the worst times consistently. I still can't believe we haven’t let him go yet tbh I guess we're unable to admit we we're completely wrong about him.

On another note T Hill looked much better during his snaps last night and Diggs looks great and will only get better. We need LB's who don't over pursue and that can tackle. I spent the entire game just looking at #54 and he just looks totally lost out there. D Law was a non factor and not worth the contract he got so far. I mean we got probems up front and we've had them for a long time.

Brutal but honest. Cannot believe how slow this defense looks in actual game action. I can already tell they need to draft LB with the first pick in 21.

Agree... A.Smith looked real good for first time out as did Diggs. No speed at LB at all covering flats. How disappointing.

Yah, this defense is in big big trouble. Lawrence and Diggs the only keepers. Rental DE's wont be around next year. You could honestly have 8 new starters next year and I wouldn't bat an eye.

Personally I try to resign Aldon immediately. I also play Wilson at safety just to see if he is good or not.

I doubt the linebackers will change at this moment starting wise.

Jaylon due to money and LVE due to potential.

I think we'll see a day 2 pick there though as insurance.
Now if LVE comes back week 9 and hurts his neck then the above is void.

I'd like to try to keep Aldon Smith also. I thought he played very well. I also thought Diggs was great, all things considered. And, Thompson was terrible!
