You strut out the 'Dak stats' but look closer:

2nd Quarter 13 for 15 168 Yards 86.7% Comp % 1 TD 135.6 QBR

1st, 3rd, & 4th Quarters 12 for 24 98 Yards 50% Comp % 3 Sacks 65.47 QBR

So, you can say all you want that Dak played well but stats show he played well for 1 of 4 quarters and that is not how you win ball games.
That’s what you call “cherry-picking.”

Hilarious!

His OVERALL stats were what they were.

And I’m still waiting for ONE of you to provide ONE link to an analyst who says Dak played poorly last night.

Just ONE.

He didn’t play poorly. He was solid. But is solid worth $40 million?

25-39, 266 Yds, TD, 30 Rush yds, sacked 3 times, zero turnovers.

92.5 passer rating, 73.4 Total QBR (8th-best in the NFL thus far).

Absolute dime to Gallup that should’ve/could’ve resulted in overtime or a win.

And all of that was despite a pass rush that got in his face for much of the night, led by the great Aaron Donald wreaking havoc inside.

Today is Monday. The Cowboys are being talked about nationally on every single sports show, TV or radio/podcast. I have yet to see a SINGLE analyst put this loss on Dak’s “poor play,” even though blaming the QB is an automatic ratings bonanza (ask Tony Romo).

You know why? Because Dak actually played WELL... and anyone without a CLEAR bias and who knows football, knows it.

If I’m wrong, PLEASE link me to a respected analyst who says that Dak played poorly last night. Go right ahead!

1) He didn’t “play poorly“ just because you’re an angry, know-nothing troglodyte who doesn’t like him, facts be damned.

2) He didn’t “play poorly“ just because you don’t watch enough football to know what good QB play and bad QB play really looks like.

3) He didn’t “play poorly“ just because your life SUCKS and it kills you to see a young overachiever make $31.4M to play QB for your favorite football team.

If you’re reading this and got offended, good. You people know who you are. I know the truth hurts.

The VERY strong majority of football analysts/players/coaches/GMs know that Dak is a top-10 QB.

Let this serve as a reminder to the loud minority crying about Dak’s play after a tough loss: you people generally aren’t even worth the time of day to even respond to. Consider this your lucky day!

Seems like we've had so much mediocrity around these parts that mediocrity is good enough to win. What ever happened to that old John Madden mantra that great players make great plays. Was there one time last night, that Dak did something awe-inspiring that made everyone watching think that he is a great player. I mean players like your mosses, emmitts, deons, and such would still show you that they were great even in losing efforts. This game, I thought we were awfully lucky when we were ahead, and so were the announcers who mentioned that it felt like the rams should be with how we were being dominated in the time of possession game. To me we played Mediocre. sometimes that is good enough for your to win sometimes it is not. its good enough for 8-8. This game I felt only two players showed us anything noteworthy on our team.

Oh yes, Dak is never the reason or a reason for the team losing. I have not said a word about his play, but I was 100% sure that a thread would be made excusing him from any part of the loss.

come on man, join the collective and become a Dak Borg.

I guess you missed the DIME to Gallup that the refs jobbed us on.

There was your awe-inspiring, winning play right there.

The rams got a bad call by the refs too. so it feels like they cancel each other out. But playing the last minute catchup game, is when you run into those kind of controversial plays. If our gameplay wasn't mediocre then we wouldn't have been in that kind of situation where we needed the big play to win.

Dak was not a major concern but it's the same old Dak.

Failed to put the team on his shoulders and take over the game. Sadly I'm starting to believe this "bus driver" status. What serperates the elites from the average.

Dak is starting to get frustrating. He's at the peak of the hill to becoming great but just needs that nudge

Having good stats for one or two quarters means nothing to me. How you finish and pick up the team is what matters when the game is on the line.

I thought it was a tale of two halves for both QBs. Dak was amazing pro bowl worthy in the first half. Then both defenses applied pressure in the second half and both QBs were average.

The issue was not adjusting to the RT problems and yes Dak threw a couple balls behind receivers under pressure but he definitely didn’t lose the game.

1 TD in today's NFL is not good enough to win. If at the end of the year Dak has 16 passing TDs the Cowboys will have a terrible record

What if like to know if why we took so long to take a shot deep. We weren’t shying away from Ramsey.

I’m sure there were other deep ball opportunities in the game. Why didn’t we at least try to hit a couple plays deep? When we got that possession at mid field why not take a shot?Is that dak just playing way to conservative?

deep ball one on one isn’t a bad play % wise. I saw jimmy g throw one up into triple coverage last night and gets call.
