The OL has regressed with the departure of Frederick and the absence of La'el, without question. The OL of a few years back is, unfortunately, little more than a memory, at the present time. Once Le'el returns to a healthy and reasonably well-conditioned state, a noticeable change might be seen. By the time Biadascz takes over, things should improve. Dak cannot operate at full capacity without impeccable protection being the case. That will, most assuredly take time to re-develop.

40 million dollar qb' must find ways to overcome. You wanna talk about being harassed look at what the Steelers did to jones tonight, that's a bad OL. We might not have the dominant OL of years passed but that's no excuse, we certainly are not giants bad. Guys weren't exactly running free sacking dak.

We don't have to be as bad as the Giants to cause problems for Dak. Looney can't pass pro anywhere near the way Frederick did. He was the main culprit in the bevy of sacks that haunted us last year. Connor Williams' problems early in the year last year didn't help, either. Dak is better than many of us make him sound when his pass protection is up to snuff. Unfortunately, pass pro is the weakness of the OL, as it now stands. The Rams proved it beyond any doubt last night. Our RT position can't handle pass pro as need be, either. It won't improve until Biadasz takes over at C and La'el returns to the lineup.

Most qb's are better behind the OL dak was used to early on. But not all qb's have that luxury. Most don't also have 3 really good receivers and s stud rb either. If you need all that to win 8+ games you aren't any good.

Saying he isn't any good is a gross misrepresentation by any reasonable standard. Don't even bother to push that trash on reasonable people.

If you say so. Keeping dak is like keeping Garrett. If you want to win a championship you'll need a new qb.

This is a fair breakdown.

Dak wasn’t bad last night.

he just wasn’t good enough. He has to play better than that. He is capable. We have all seen it.

but he needs to play better than that.

the stats for Dak last night are shown below:

CMP 25
ATT
39
YDS
266
CMP% 64.1

AVG 6.8
TD
1
INT 0
LNG 33
SACK 3
RTG 92.5
QBR 73.3

We'll see about that. Dak will be tested throughout the season to see if he's actually worthy of whatever the Dallas FO hopes he'll prove. In the meantime, the games to come will likely be the deciding factor in determining his future and that of the team, as well.

For the time being, Dak and the entire team will be scrutinized with each upcoming game. Nothing changes in the present. Whatever the future holds in store remains to be seen. MM and Jerry both want success. That will be the key to the next offseason and this team's future.
