I think, it's time for Dak to open it up and stop this conservative bull****. Unleash the ball like you did against NY Giants last year. Take matters into your own hands, do something or let's see what AD can do. LET'S FREAKING GO BRO!

1 TD in today's NFL is not good enough to win. If at the end of the year Dak has 16 passing TDs the Cowboys will have a terrible record
What will their record be if he finishes the year with 0 turnovers?

The rams got a bad call by the refs too. so it feels like they cancel each other out. But playing the last minute catchup game, is when you run into those kind of controversial plays. If our gameplay wasn't mediocre then we wouldn't have been in that kind of situation where we needed the big play to win.
The bad call that went against the Rams (on their INT) maybe cancels out the 1st horrific call that went their way (McVay signaling timeout way after the clock hit 0 on their 1st drive).

The Gallup play was extra home-cookin’.

Dak was not a major concern but it's the same old Dak.

Failed to put the team on his shoulders and take over the game. Sadly I'm starting to believe this "bus driver" status. What serperates the elites from the average.

Dak is starting to get frustrating. He's at the peak of the hill to becoming great but just needs that nudge

Having good stats for one or two quarters means nothing to me. How you finish and pick up the team is what matters when the game is on the line.

When I watched Big Ben earlier, I thought Dak was going to be similar to him when he was drafted in terms of build, escapability, and improvisation during a broken play. I did expect a NFC Championship appearance in his first few years, and winning the big games. Well, there is still time.

Hahahaahah yeah what a terrible deep ball to Gallup.
:lmao2:

He should have been looking to make a pass like that in the beginning of the drive. Not with under a min. But he supposed to want more money right????????????

He certainly played well enough for the team to win. Margin for error is pretty damn slim in the NFL. Coaching is huge and passing up the points cost them, imo.

Problem is well enough to win isn't good enough. I'm sorry. Everyone is constantly making excuses for dak, blaming the coaches or the receivers. When are we expecting dak to elevate this team? Last year he put up stats vs bad teams.

Think about this. He has as much talent if not more around him on offense than other quarterbacks. If you pay him 40 million you lose that ability to sign and or keep other guys. If he can't win with this roster than how is he going to win with potential less talent around him?

I'm not a dak hater, i want him to succeed. However i don't think its unreasonable to expect more at this point. I'm sick of being mired in mediocrity with this team. Let dak win something before you pay him all that money. If not you either franchise him or let him walk.

Not blaming only dak but the offense was pathetic and lost dallas that game. The rams and our defense tried to give dallas the game.

No, he didn't. He had the PERFECT situation at the end of the game and he failed the team.
Perfect situation?

His scrub UDFA RT gets beat and sacks Dak to make it 3rd and long. Then Dak pulls off a gutsy run, putting his body on the line to extend the drive.

Then he makes what should've been a game tying throw to Gallup versus an elite CB. Negated by refs. He shouldn't have to make that throw twice.

when we tried to describe dak in 2016, people would compare parts of him to all these great QBs that they like. It still seems like he might of peeked in 2016.

Theres a difference between "played well enough to win" and "played like a $40 million QB". Did he honestly look a like a $40 million QB out there? This Trent Dilferesque 250 yards and 1 TD bus driver stuff isn't good enough at this point.

Games have a feel to them. There been games with Romo, Aikman in the past where it felt they were lose from the onset and they did. This one felt like the team was playing mediocre but we could've won, which is mediocre. And then there are games where you feel that players are on top of their game and playing good. This wasn't one of them. I mean Dak hitting Coop's leg with a pass about sums up this game for me.

As for calls if this were a game for a championship and the team was playing like they deserve it, it be a different thing to me.

If you disagree and can’t provide ANY basis for doing so?

Stats, analysis or otherwise?

Then yeah, you fall into one of these categories.

1) He didn’t “play poorly“ just because you’re an angry, know-nothing troglodyte who doesn’t like him, facts be damned.

2) He didn’t “play poorly“ just because you don’t watch enough football to know what good QB play and bad QB play really looks like.

3) He didn’t “play poorly“ just because your life SUCKS and it kills you to see a young overachiever make $31.4M to play QB for your favorite football team.
The angry Dak apologists out again. Stats are crap when those stats are are mainly in 1 quarter, Dak played great in the second but was average in the other 3. Did Dak lose the game no but he didn't do anything to win it and that is what is expected from a franchise QB. 17 points that is what he produced. Wah wah wah. get real nancy, you and your Dak buddies, please just stop with the excuses that is all we hear year in and out. Dallas lost because they were no good enough to win.
