I agree. RT was not the problem last night. LBs were terrible. DL except for Smith were terrible. Shultz was an abomination.

What are they going to do at LB?

AWoods was ok on the dline. Hill too. Poe was awful.

For the life of me I don’t know why we don’t run more screens. It is THE counter call to slow down a rush and exploit teams that are aggressively getting up field on you.

And we have the skill players to absolutely wear teams out that way too. Just an unimaginative offensive gameplan last night.

17 points is just not good enough from Dak and Co.

I dream about Zeke getting passed the ball with a little space to run. :(

Im not a film geek but Steele appeared to look ok given the circumstances. He definitely wore down as the game progressed and struggled late when the Rams knew the Cowboys were forced into more of a passing game.

I think Jaylon Smith is trash, but I thought he was OK last night. Try somebody else at MLB though. Geesh.

To me he stood out as the weakest link on the team. He can only run up and down, no agility and literally has zero awareness.

He is very aware of where to be to avoid direct contact. The guy tap dances out there.

Have they tried Connor Williams at T lately? The adjustments they made to target Steele in the second half destroyed the long passing game that was killing in the first half.

I was surprised Schultz wasn’t chipping more at the end.

I thought 0-3 was very possible before the year based off defense needing time to get up to speed, but now it seems like a certainty with a huge hole at RT.
What did Steele do to say he cant start the next 2 weeks? He battled good. If we want to be honest, Martin was the problem most of the game. He was on the ground way too much.

Steele was fine. He won't be going up against Aaron Donald every week.
He wasn't just getting beat by Donald though. Steele was getting beat by everybody that lined up in front of him and when they went heavy to his side it got Martin thrown around like a rag doll

I thought for a UDFA he did well.....wasn’t great by any means but he did ok

Exactly. I should of added, as an UDFA rookie in my sentence but I get too lazy typing at times.
Not too many UDFA rookies end up starting week 1. He got beat at times and you could tell more savy DL knew how to throw him off but overall he wasn't a dumpster fire out there. He was alright all things considered.

Terrance Steele with some help.
STEELE.He actually did ok for his first NFL start. Not bad for a UDFA.lIKE YOU SAID, give him some help and he's fine. I would like to see Blake Bell lined up next to him to help him.

Steele was ok for what he was going against. I think donald was tossing people into other O-Line players, that’s how disruptive he was. We won’t face this every week and we will gel.
