I would be so so happy if Stephen just got fed up with the whole negotiating process and told Dak that he can walk after the season.

I like elements of Dak as a player, but he just does not have enough talent to win it for you. He can help not screw it up and rely on others to make the plays, but Dak is unreliable — that’s not worth $40mil/yr

I don't think Dak has big value as long as he has big contract demands.

I think most teams believe they could get someone similar for cheaper or just roll the dice in the draft.

I've been a staunch supporter of Dak since he arrived on the scene in 2016. I do NOT blame him for Sunday night's loss. I think the kid has some talent...but, I too am of the belief that, if he can't correct his bad habit(s) (which, in my opinion, is always being that split-second late on all of his reads), then that $$$ can be distributed elsewhere to make this TEAM even better. A MONSTER (in terms of skill, not necessarily size) NT/1T, LB's, TE...oh, and of course, a young QB and a LEGIT SAFETY (or 2).

If it wasn’t pi on Gallup how different would all this nonsense be. We did it to Romo and now it’s Dakotas turn.
Romo was an elite quarterback in a trainwreck franchise who could put the team on his back and win games on many occasions. Dak is entirely dependent on being surrounded by elite talent, and if one or two pieces are missing, he's awful. He needs near perfection around him to be successful.

Romo's arm talent and accuracy don't reside in Dak, and his ability to read coverages pre-snap and during the play were exceptional. Dak doesn't seem to be progressing in that regard whatsoever. Romo made receivers like Austin, Robinson, Hurd, and Beasley effective beyond their actual talent. Dak holds receivers back from their potential.

The difference between the two is night and day. Even before the PI call, Dak was 1 for 7 on 3rd downs for 11 yards. A healthy Romo wins that game Sunday night going away.

This was a good offseason to find out and they didn’t do it..
true but that has passed ill live for the future..I dont believe the DC FO thought Dak was gig to play such hardball with his deal..now they know One year for MM to evaluate and go to Jerry and let him know what he feels about his value to the future of the DC..

“They don’t beat good teams with Dak Prescott as their Quarterback.”

He's right in that Dak can't beat the good teams in big games. But, that should have been known since he was a 4th round pick for a reason. Dak is a good person and a good leader but,
even with a great surrounding cast, he can't overcome his limitations. His defensive reads and mechanics are problematic at best. Brady/Brees he isn't and will never be.

You know there are some great arguments for you guys to make but its hilarious that you guys quote Gottlieb, Herd and Whitlock in order to back up your claims lol.....literally the worst 3 people you could use lol.

It’s sad sad desperation. Could not imagine thinking Doug Gottlieb has a smart point about literally anything.

I don't think that's an excuse..

Brady was a 6th round pick for a reason..

Wilson 3rd round for a reason.

If they had a draft re-do all of those guys would be 1st round picks including Dak.

Dak just needs to make plays and he needs to do it against teams that aren't terrible.

Atlanta is a team he should do well against.
