So amongst all the complaints about our first game..

I know all of us expected Lamb to make a big difference.

But instead of a Bang..

he went Pop.

I expected more than what we saw.

Way more.

So I wonder what you guys are thinking about Lamb?

I thought given plenty of time to incorporate him into the offense..

we would have seen more than just him cutting his route short and not converting a 1st. down at a critical moment in the game.

I was hoping to see a punt return of some impact..

a few catches that show we know how to use him.

But I hear crickets from you guys.

I can rattle off multiple reasons why..but I want to hear how you saw it.

Over to you.

It was a very minor presence in the game.

The only players I thought did well were both of our backs and maybe Gallup.

He caught everything thrown at him. How is it his fault they didn't throw his way?? The 4th and 3 was a crap throw that he had to stop and bend down for. He had a nice 20 yard punt return which is as good as we've had in years.

My God of all the people to blame. Look at the OC, and the QB who has never made a receiver better.

Thought he looked really good, didn’t look like a rookie at all. He’s going to have some big games.
Seems like some were expecting Randy Moss right out of the gate....most rookie WRs take a while to adjust.

I am not blaming Lamb.

Not at all.

I just wonder how people are thinking about how it played out for us.

My first point would be the OC.

Moore to me has too much responsibility to go with his lack of experience to actually get us running smoothly.

I was doubious at best about Moore being able to use Lamb properly. He has alot of other mouth's to feed the ball to.

I just hope Lamb is not going to be some sort of decoy while the ball goes somewhere else.

I have no idea.

That's why I am asking the question.

And this is no 'hater' thread.

I am just trying to see what you guys are seeing.

I blame no one.

He's a rookie.

I sort of got from everybody here that he was going to be more of a factor for us.

It was disappointing he was unable to not be more effective.

He had 60 yards in his first game as a Freshman at OU as well.

I thought the Rams secondary tackled really well, as we didn’t get to see him run after the catch.

Amari had a good game. Also orced a double team on that OPI call which would have been more impactful had there been a correct no call either way.

1st game of his career I thought he did fine. As for the finished product? time will tell

I doubt anyone told Leonardo da Vinci that his Mona Lisa looked like crap after the 1st paint stroke, then again da Vinci did not have to contend with message boards. lol

He balled out for a rookie in his first NFL game. Especially one where his QB was being harassed.

im not sure they had plenty of time.
but i expected more than what i saw sunday night.
looked too much like a garrett offense...which isnt anything like a mccarthy offense.
so it can only be kellen moore.
its his offense.
mccarthy has given him the white board.
use that brilliant mind we keep hearing about to start takin some shots consistently beyond the sticks.
jarwin's injury should create more opportunities in the pass game to use these receivers...not less.
if moore is gonna continue to give us less...then mccarthy must take over play calling duties.
kellen moore needs to take this opportunity and run with it...not keep it in its protective box stored in a closet so it never gets broken.
use it or lose it.
