Adams is great but SEA gave up the farm for him.
DAL was never in it at those trade prices.
He’s a rare playmaker from a position we haven’t seen playmakers since Roy Williams rookie season. I can list a whole bunch of “farm” draft picks on defense right now that haven’t done squat other than the hype we give themAdams is great but SEA gave up the farm for him.

Giving up the farm is such an exaggeration. He's a guy who can change their defense and help them now. Would late 20s draft picks do that? Doubtful.
People over value draft picks way too much in these kinds of moves. I am not talking about stupid trades like Joey Galloway. But trades that make sense. This isn't the MLB where teams build for a decade. The window to win with your core is very short in this league.

Right...and I wouldn't have paid what Seattle did....Adams is great but SEA gave up the farm for him.

Vander Glass and Charlton?I wouldn't have made a big trade for him either, mostly because Dallas is only really good at drafting talent in the first round.
If Seattle wins the nfc or the super bowl though it was worth it.
Vander Glass and Charlton?
The bust rate in the bottom half of the 1st round is higher than you may think.
Edit....for everyone. Not just Dallas. Take a look.
That's why they did it. Difference is they were probably that one player away and we clearly were not.
When Dallas doesn’t get too cute they hit on picks. They got cute on Claiborne and got cute with Taco. Also got cute with LVE when they saw red flags.Vander Glass and Charlton?

Once players are ending their rookie deals, the contract price becomes as bigas the draft picks in a tradeGiving up the farm is such an exaggeration. He's a guy who can change their defense and help them now. Would late 20s draft picks do that? Doubtful.
