I personally like 2 RB / 2 TE set better than having 3 WRs with this injured OL that can help out in pass protection but can be motioned out wide to create 11 personnel look.

Either way we need to take deep shots with all of our players (even Zeke had 60 yard receptions before)

Where do we rank in our opponents committing defensive pass interference I wonder?

I watch a lot of QB's throw the ball in a way that gets their WR just ran over and a flag thrown but I can't recall much of that happening here.

We took no real deep shots til the end. Dak is on with deep throws. Not sure why. Designed roll outs could have helped against donald blowing up the middle. I am starting to think most of this game was scripted. Scripted to be vanilla and see what we have going on and get gelled.

Well since we are short on TEs, at least good ones...and stacked at WR, you probably won't get your wish.

I guess we could use Zeke as an H-back and Pollard as a RB. Zeke is a monster blocker who could make up for our lack of quality TEs.

We don’t have Russell Wilson on our team though :(

Dak is just the better version of Romo

Listened to 106.3 on Tuesday afternoon for a bit. They CLAIMED both McCarthy and Moore have indicated they will use motion on an as needed basis. meaning their base offense will not be to move people around pre snap.

The discussion that ensued surmised this meant sprinkle in very little motion. It then went the way of all things assuming this was because Dak would get confused where the receivers were. Which I find to be ludicrous, but understand this is dessert for a group here that think Dak is to blame for everything from RuPaul's clothing choices to the gunman on the grassy knoll.

Our offensive line caused us to not throw deep balls. Not only because they had trouble protecting but the run game wasn't good enough to allow it.

The Cowboys want to establish the run so that the defense has to bring a safety into the box thus giving them favorite number to go against the secondary but the Rams only played 7 against the run and was pretty successful. When the rams did that they were able to play 2 deep safeties taking away the deep balls and playing mostly zone which you pretty much run stop routes against. If this oline doesn't get better other teams will replicate this making it tougher to be explosive.

IOW we have to make teams "pick their poison" if not we're going to be in trouble. This is on our offensive line.

I don't think it ludicrous, some qbs and wrs struggle with motion and shift. we know Dez did. we also know qbs like Romo and Peyton Manning didn't like it.

to be clear I'm not criticizing Dak, but it could be the issue. I know everyone bags on JG about not using motion, but when he first started as OC he used motion. then it went away.
