BS! Listen carefully.....EVERY PLAYER HAS THIER FAVORITE PLAYS......it's up to the OC to call the plays and understand his players abilities in order to do so. Not only QBs, but all players. It even works on defense. What a novel idea, call the game to your players strength! Wow!!!! Genius! Lol!!!
@Runwildboys

Yeah, BS is right! Listen carefully, or did you forget that almost every team the Cowboys played they always said they knew what the Cowboys were going to do. That is what is called a trend. The Dak can only run a few basic plays and he can barley do that! I know you think you are some genius Jr. High Coach, but you are not the know it all that you may think you are. If you have to call plays for your players strength, The Dak, then you need a stronger player. @Ranching...

Yes..

nice numbers to selectively make a point...

but help me out..

Rodgers is still the QB becuz he has already won a SB before you focus on his record after that and say "see".

Same with Brees..when did he win his SB? I forgot the year..it was the year of Hurricane Katrina I believe.

So these guys have had lesser records but it was after they had already won it all.

Dak on the other hand is still yet to win anything more than the Eastern Conference although it was twice.

And in each of those years..Philly was 2-3 games ahead of us and had to completely implode for us to catch them.

So Dak had alot of help getting those conference titles..it wasn't just him clearing the field with his play at QB.

Like last year with Garrett receiving his ultimatum from the FO to either make it to the Conference Game or turn in your keys to your office..

Dak needs a similar ultimatum.

Win or move aside.

Take a paycut until you prove you can win more than a Participants Trophy.

We played this game with Romo for 10 years. We made everything Romo Friendly. It was a bust.

We have now doubled down and made it Dak Friendly and being asked to spend $100s of millions more for Dak to stay..

plus the $100s of millions on other players to support Dak.

At some point Dak has to pay off.

I can't see when that point is.

Can anybody?
very accurate assessment . Dak seems to be stuck in mediocrity unless he really shows up in a big way . If by mid season this team is sub .500 , then the FO will need to make a huge decision very soon. Signing dak anywhere close to 35 mil or more is basically going to cripple the team for 4-5 years. It will all depend on his play the next 6 -8 games.

There are no Dak haters just Cowboy lovers!!!

He's not gonna run and risk injury without a long-term contract. Simple as that.
Brady is a drop back passer, not hard to call a game for that type of QB. He has more limitations than Dak because he is not a running threat.
Dak doesn't have limitations, that's only fabricated in people's mind. This crap is really funny to me, fans trying to tear down this dude is pretty pathetic.

Yeah, in your mind, not all people's minds. Fabricate this...8-8 and his past records. (but...but...but...the defense, the blocking, the receivers, the refs, the field, the football...The Dak excuses). Go watch some Jr. High film...then come tell all of us how great you are and that we are all full of BS.

If only it were that simple...
I think there are several QBs available I would consider..

Can Newton is one who only has a one year deal with the Pats..

Tribiski in Chicago maybe on his way out of there..

and several others maybe leaving their current teams for new opportunities elsewhere.

We have to see.

So Dak tells Moore what plays he's "comfortable" with, and what he likes. So how much blame can we really place on Kellen for play calling?

Yeah, while I support Dak, if you want to be a 40+ million QB, GET comfortable with any play.

He's got the doggy Falcons at home this week so he is selling leadership.
Talk to him after the Hawks game.....then it will be a team thing as usual in one of his many boring monotonous press conferences!
Yeah..

Dak talks about "the team" all the time, doesn't he? About what "we" as a team are doing to win.

While his contracts negotiations are strictly about "me".

..what he is doing for himself needing to be paid what he feels he's worth.

It's really a conflict ain't it?

I'm imagining you teaching your children that after their first team sports loss.
they're there to play ball. not make speeches. participation trophies were the idea of parents. believe it or not, kids still prefer winning. it carries on to furthers aspects of life.

if he refuses to run, i'd bench him and put dalton in the game. dak made his bed. he has to sleep in it. refusing to run will lower his worth drastically imo. going to the big dance will increase it appreciably.

He ran this last week, but I'm sure it's going through his head as well as Jerry's

that i agree with. its too bad because it's hard to be your best with little lingering doubts. quite a conundrum. if i run, i might get injured. if i don't, it hurts me in future negotiations. but we have to showcase, at least to some degree, dak's running abilities to keep defenses off balance. another element they have to consider.

Too bad we can’t extend him while he’s under the Tag.
I would reduce him under the tag.

Start out assuming he can duplicate 8-8 as the baseline and $32 mil as starting salary.

For each loss more than 8 reduce the offer $5 mil.

For each win above 8 add $5 mil.

We will see where he ends up.

He says he likes to bet on himself.

Let's see him bet using his money.

He could add $40 mil to his pay or lose $40 mil and owe us money.
