I Really Don't Get All The Negativity

It was a close game despite the Rams time of possession in the first half. Had Shultz ran his route at the proper depth on the 4th and 3 play, Dallas very likely converts there. They’d have a great chance to score on that drive.

Had the ref not thrown the OPI on Gallup, there’s a very good chance they win.

The main reason for complaint was how the Rams held the ball in the first half but they shored that up in the second half.

People rarely think a team looks good in a loss, so it isn’t surprising that they think it didn’t look good in Los Angeles. But the truth is the team wasn’t very far from victory against a well coached team that isn’t even two years removed from a super bowl appearance.

Just think, this time last year we destroyed one of the 3 worst teams in the league and were about to destroy the other two worst teams in the league. Kellen Moore was the new HC in waiting the Kool Aid was flowing hard. If anyone dare mention that we should pump the brakes considering the competition, they were ostracized from a large part of the Zone and considered debbie downers or being realistic.

Now we lost one game potentially due to a bad coaching decision that people would have criticized Garrett for doing the opposite and the team has already been declared “the same ‘ole Cowboys” when in reality that game could have gone either way.

Luckily we have one of the worst defenses and O lines in the league this week so I expect a strong victory. Maybe after the W, some fans will understand that every good team does not win every game unless they are the ‘72 Dolphins. This week was nothing but the typical over reaction that occurs here after every win or loss.

Goes both ways, had the ref thrown the flag on the Goff face mask INT the score could have been more lopsided in favor of the Rams since we got points off of that. Hell even the blatantly obvious hold on Donald a few plays later that they never called could have changed the outcome of us getting points.

Most of the key players from that SB team aren’t even there anymore so I would hesitate to compare the current team to what was on the field last Sunday night.

I'm convinced most CZ members are Eagles fans pretending to be Cowboys fans.

I just can't bring myself to accept that this many Cowboys fans are morons.
.....lol.. I think its the new breed generation. Where they don't remember any super bowl wins, but just the enigma of Dallas hype. Which is good enough, kinda like fast internet.

I really don't get it. One week into the new regime in a season with a no OTAs, mini-camps or preseason and everyone is acting like the season is over. I rarely even go on the Zone anymore because all of the threads are doom and gloom. I understand that we've had 25 years of mediocrity and that we have an owner that can be an ******* and rub people the wrong way but, jesus, this is a new era with a new coach. And the people that are way down on Dak really sucks. I don't know if he's a 40 million dollar QB but I know that he has won alot of games for us and has a unique skillset and I'm glad that he has McCarthy to lead him to be even better. If Garrett was still the coach, I would be just as negative as the rest of ya but he isn't. When the Cowboys beat Atlanta at home and then go to Seattle and win there, there's gonna be alot of broken ankles from the people spreading the negativity right now. I thought Eagles fans really sucked but you people take it to a new level. Go Cowboys!!!
I really don't get the reluctance to begin a new paragraph.

You haven’t been here long enough to realize this board has been overtaken by a bunch of losers and quitters. The scum of the earth.

If you like the way the fat man is running this team only to lose then you go right ahead and worship at his fat feet. But don't expect others to do the same. Losing is for losers and we've seen plenty of that without the fat man. I could have coached this team with those results. There is no hope just because we have a new coach. He lost that game for us. Dak played good enough to win but it's hard to outplay bad coaching.
Wow. You must be JoeKing (been meaning to use that one!) Name calling always solves our problems. I'm sure you are metabolically healthy yourself. Give McCarthy a chance. It's one game into his tenure and he didn't even have the time that a normal new coach has.

I've been here a few years and I see just what you're saying. People unhappy with their own lives so it makes them feel better to criticize others

Other than the loss and the atrocious play in the trenches I don't get it either.

I saw 2 hits to Prescott’s head not called that I didn’t mention either. And some other missed calls that could have gone both ways.

I mentioned the OPI because of the timing and significance of that play. It is the same reason everyone in the media is talking about that same play.

Drops continue to be a problem too, we lead the league last year a couple of those pivatol plays could of been the difference from a l to an ugly win.

Timing is so over rated. Who cares if that happened in the first quarter or the final 30 seconds. Points are points no matter when they’re scored.

Did the exact same OPI that got called against Evan Engram not matter because it didn’t happen in the 4th quarter?

Bad calls or non calls can effect an entire game no matter when they happen.

BTW, were those other hits to Dak’s head as violent as the one they called against GB last year when the defenders hand grazed his helmet? I ask because I never saw them, maybe I just missed it.

While reading this I naturally paused after the bold and was surprised to see the rest of the sentence. Had already started wondering, "what's lucky about that?"
