You can only take one: Belicheat or Brady in his prime!

No brainer, Belichick. I like coaches who do more with less, dont over pay for jersey sales, and get rid of players a year early than a year late.

Look at Belichick’s record in Cleveland and New England before Brady became his QB. QBs make or break head coaches. Their success is tied to their QB.

Of course, I strongly agree Belicheat , but I am really surprised more fans, who think it’s all about the QB, have not disagreed.

I mean really surprised!

I take Belicheat every time. Coaching is so important in football. Belicheat can take his and beat yours, and take yours and beat his!

1.His teams are almost always prepared for the other team, and if their not he will make adjustments throughout the game to help his teams chances of winning.

2. His players, are team players. It is drummed into their heads to, “do your job”. Do you ever see NE DE’s get fulled by a boot leg. Almost never!

3. He takes advantage of his players strengths and teams strengths. See his offense with Cam compared to Brady.

4. He is the master, some would say master cheater, at using the rules to his teams advantage.

5. His teams very seldom beat themselves. They don’t make dumb mistakes.

If he was the Cowboys HC, Goodell would have banned him for life or until he agreed to coach in the North East...

If it is as coach and GM and I can only keep him 5 years, I would take prime years Jimmy over Belichick.

I mean it was Cleveland.

The job of a coach is to get the most out of the talent that exists. If no talent exists, because you are the Cleveland Browns who somehow are allergic to fielding drafting talent, then there is little you can do to get the most of it.

He didn’t have much at QB in Cleveland. If you’re not rocksolid at that position it’s going to be a struggle for any HC. Belichick was off to a worse start in New England with Drew Bledsoe as his QB. He went 5-11 that first year and was off to an 0-2 start his second year until Brady took over. Bill Parcells and Joe Gibbs are the only Hall of Fame coaches I can think of that won Super Bowls without a great QB.

You forgetting about the Super Bowl appearance he had with Ray Lewis as his quarterback?

I mean Brady for his first few SBs was carried by that defense (also his 6th one). It takes time to build a defense though, especially when the parts do not exist, but coaching is how he went 11-5 with Cassel. Granted that should have been 14-2 team, but 11-5 is not bad when your QB was possibly the 40th best QB in the NFL.

Give me Billy boy every time. One of the best coaches ever.

People say he didn’t win in Cleveland but he had that moribund franchise turning around and was just about to make it a winner, when he was let go.

Brady is a great QB but Belichick would win with or without him... and almost did it in Ohio. They just pulled the plug too early.

Brady was able to manage games early unlike the previous QBs Belichick had. He wasn’t a turnover machine and made plays when he had to. Belichick missed the playoffs with Matt Cassel. They went 11-5 but with Brady that team likely wouldn’t have lost more than one or two games. Even you agree with that.

I mean that was when Brady was a real QB. but they didnt win most of their titles with a real QB, they won them with a bus driver. The league is filled with QBs who can drive the bus right now; most teams have 2. Even back then at least 15 QBs would have won those 3 titles, but without BB, Brady likely maybe has 1 ring.

Brady was a bus driver for one season when he took over for Bledsoe. He was an inexperienced QB who was forced into a starting role. The next three seasons he tossed 79 TD passes. Tom Brady has always been a real QB. Belichick has never won a ring as an HC without Tom Brady. Belichick was on the road to getting fired again as an HC until Brady took over for Bledsoe. He would have been back to being a coordinator.
