Why did we sign Griffen if we’re gonna run this defense. Seems like our best chance at edge rushers is gonna be Aldon Smith and Randy Gregory. I think Lawrence and Griffen would’ve made a great duo last year but they don’t seem to fit in this defense.

Yeah after last season it felt like a contract we may regret, but figured I would give him a pass considering defense challenges. We'll see how this season unfolds, but if he can't produce double digit sacks may have to move on when its feasible to cut him or ask for a pay cut.

Why did we pay this clown?

"Gotta sign him! Can't let a Pro Bowl player go! Blah blah blah...."

He's been even less than I expected, and I didn't want to sign him in the first place. We signed him after he had had 5 sacks in the previous 14 games. Elite money for non-elite play.

I disagree but that makes far more sense than less than average lol.
i got carried away.. i accept it and take it back.
But DAK is average..... and well that is what we have and hopefully he can become a little better

And you feel he was average today even though he had arguably the worst offensive line in the league there today?

Between Lawrence and Jaylon contracts + first rd pick on LVE = doom for this defense.

We need a nice bag of chips though.

They just redid his contract. If we trade him now we eat $44 million in dead money accelerated into this year. If we get rid of him next year we eat $19 million in dead money.

We can't afford that bag if chips. We are stuck with him until at least 2022 unfortunately.

Hard to tell... i have been watching the Cowboys since 1985....... and Dak to me just seems an average guy... nothing to "die" for

Naw I don't think he's worth "dying for" but based on the QB play in this league and at his age? He's right there with the rest.

I would like for us to have a Tier above QB
Staucah, Airkman... Dak is not even as good as Romo...

I'm sure his house, cars, possessions are really nice now. Courtesy of Jerruh Jones. What is the percentage of contracts that Jerry actually gets return on? Wish we had a tracker for that. Maybe it is always better to "not pay the man"?
