I like that Diggs is always contesting the ball......yeah hes been beat a few times but hes a rookie
Hopefully he starts to catch those balls otherwise in a year hes going to get picked on fast lol. I agree with you though

May sound crazy but I actually feel better about the defense today than I did last week. They had overcome a lot of crazy **** from the offense and coaching calls but they kept fighting. I look for them to get better and better each week.

To be fair this is a gauntlet to start the season. WR’s and QB’s galore. Zona and the Browns won’t be easy either

I don't think the pass rush was good today, but I want to point out that both the Falcons and the Rams relied a lot on running and PA. You can't expect a lot of pressure in that situation.

I'm no stat guy but when Goff actually had to drop back w/o PA the DL got decent pressure; less so in this game.

I agree with all this but I might add, our 2 tackles DID NOT embarrass themselves.

This had the makings of a long day before Takk got hurt. Knight was was good for what he is. Anyone heard an explanation why he didn’t start last week? He clearly looks like a better player than Steele at this point!

Our pass rush is the biggest disappointment so far. In week 1, I chalked it up to a great Rams game plan, which had Goff throwing a lot of quick hits, but this week Ryan was like a statue and the pass rush never materialized. I really wonder if DLaw and Griffen are struggling to switch to this 3-4 stand up stuff. I even saw DLaw drop into coverage. It has to be a little weird.

Maybe but Ryan stood back there for a long time a lot. this wasn’t Goff with a 3 step drop. Last week I could give them a pass for not getting home because the ball wasn’t there. This week. No excuses, they SUCKED

You need DTs that command double teams.

Lawrence had a lot of one on one battles today and did nothing. Same with Griffen.

Blaming the DTs is kind of weak IMO at this point.

Didn't fixate on the DEs. Just enjoyed the game. In general, you need good DT play to free up your DEs. The comment that I responded too wasn't game specific.
