I have said this before and I will say it again.... we need to be ready to plug in Tyron Smith’s replacement. He is in a constant state of injury. I don’t blame him...he has a lot of miles on his body.

We really should have replaced Sean Lee too. He is made of glass, way past his prime, and planning on using him is an exercise in futility.

Agreed and while at it start shopping D-Laugh as well, not sure any team would want him.

The way that Steele and Knight played today we might be ok for this Season but def need to draft a LT soon next year.

Looks like T-Smith is just about done.

Tyrone Smith is far from done, Connor Williams on the other hand....

Pretty good OT draft coming up, Cowboys should select one. The starters always miss a couple games... that's just the NFL. If the two young OTs can keep it up that would be big for the depth.

Tyron went to the last 7 Pro Bowls. He was ~10mil in salary cap hit before his restructure. Next year will be 10.5. That's a good deal.

I would hold off on retiring him until he *doesn't* make the Pro Bowl.

And this "constant state of injury". Tyron missed 12 games in the last 4 years.

Collins missed 14 in the last 4 years. Should we cut him too? He'll miss the first 3 games this year. Tyron has at least played a game this year.

Yes but he plays injured a lot and half the times he’s about 75%. A bad back and neck make it difficult to play and move well thus his penalties. We def need to draft next year.

Yeah, we need to go on Amazon and order an All-Pro Left Tackle to replace Tyron before it's too late.

I know our FO is deserving of criticism, but we did draft Jaylon and LVE. It's not as if they ignored the Sean Lee dilemma. At the same time I have to wonder if they would consider moving LC to LT and replacing our RT position. In both cases we need LBs and Tackles next off-season, although the youngsters were surprisingly not terrible yesterday.

It needs to happen but fact is....I think this is the nature of the NFL. Guys are going to be hurt. ESPECIALLY THIS YEAR. Its up to the Cowboys and this coaching staff to coach up the back ups if they can be coached up. A big difference between this week and last.

please dont use the pro bowl as a measuring stick its not. Tyron is still serviceable and when healthy is top 5 in league the problem is we have to use that clarifier

Yeah I have no issue with how they handled it but in hindsight....they need to stay away from injury prone linebackers. You can get away with that at probably any other position but who takes more contact on the defensive side of the ball than the linebackers? You need to be durable to play that position.

I have no issue with the Jaylon pick. It was a risk...its debatable if its paying off. If LVE had injury flags that was too early to draft a guy with those neck problems.
