Just curious what the board thinks ?
I think it was key that Mac went no huddle early in the game to give us a chance to score without burning up clock time.

On a related coaching note, can't believe the Falcon's blunder on the onside kick.
Don't know if it was coaching, lack of preparation or a player mental error?
Nice to win a game like that instead of being on the losing end of that kind of gaffe, right Leon Lett ? LOL

Say what you will, but Garrett probably wouldn't have had them in that hole to begin with. Now if you're asking if, given the hole they were in late in the game, he would have won, then the answer is "I highly doubt it".

I think the Falcon's thought from the speed and direction of the kick the ball wasn't going to make it to the 10 yard mark, so rather than risk not jumping on it cleanly they planned to let it die without ever going 10 yards. They didn't understand the spin was going to turn the direction of the ball and that with that turn in direction there would be just barely enough speed to get the ball across the 10 yard mark.

Of course, after the ball turned they still may have had time to make a snap decision and jump on the ball, but I guess they were so convince the ball wouldn't travel the 10 yards they just froze.

I don't know. A head coach can't control fumbles.

Garrett lead teams will still have Witten as TE. We would still be running curl routes all game long causing Dak to hold the ball longer and giving Atlanta a ton of sacks. . Lamb if drafted would probably be on the bench learning how to run curl routes. Our game plan would be to run Zeke on 1st and 2nd and would not rely on Dak to win the game for us.

Garrett probably won't go for those trick plays though. But if it was a Garrett lead team, this game would have been a blowout in Atlanta's favor.

Garrett would never survive 3 fumbles in the 1st quarter.

Garrett wouldn’t have done the 2 fake punts that didn’t work that resulted in points for Atl. He was good at leading fierce comebacks after they got down big.

Garrett never leads a fierce comeback. He would rather do the same thing over and over game and hope for a different results. He was bailed out a lot by Romo changing the plays on offense. Only then did we were able to make a comeback.

I agree with that, but JG wouldn't have tried the first quarter fake punt, in all likelihood. That lead to one of the scores. Don't misunderstand, I'm glad he's gone and I highly doubt they would have won that game under him, given the same circumstances. Having said that, I highly doubt any coach would win that game under those circumstances if given a thousand more tries.

My guess would be no, but I also think we would have beat the Rams last week with JG.. so we would have the same record after 2.

No for many reasons but especially because if Garrett was still here we would still have an inept special teams unit.

Well considering teams were 440-0 when in the exact position the Falcons were in yesterday I’d say JG would have taken a loss along with any other coach as well.

That kick was a gem. Respect to the ST for that one.
